Cain Equipment Australia Pty Ltd is an Australian family owned business who design and manufacture premium custom built truck bodies and trailers in Keysborough.
We are currently seeking a motivated drafts person to join our team.
You will work closely with our Managing Director and will be responsible for producing high quality technical drawings, supporting design development and contributing to the manufacturing process.
Your duties will include but not limited to
Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for truck bodies and trailers.
Update existing designs and technical documentation
Collaborating with the Managing Director to ensure designs meet project requirements
Perform basic calculations and measurements for structural and mechanical components
Translate client requirements into accurate drawings and specifications
Ensure all drawings comply with relevant standards and safety requirements
Maintain version control and document management of drawings
Participate in project meetings and contribute ideas to improve products and processes
Consideration for the positions will be given with the following requirements:
Minimum Certificate IV qualification in engineering drafting or related field
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Solidworks or Inventor
Basic understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication and materials
Strong technical drawing and design skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A willingness to learn and develop professionally
A passion for engineering and a desire to contribute to the success of the company
