The role of the Marketing and Communications Specialist is to drive the online presence of Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha), delivering contemporary and targeted social media strategies, and member and customer communications, to meet the organisation’s priorities.

Responsible for supporting the Cultural Development and the Arts team, you will assist with planning, delivery and evaluation of programs, projects and events in line with the Cultural Development and Arts Strategy. Working closely with the City’s Media and Communications team, you will also develop and review promotional content including website, social media and newsletters.

You have sound knowledge and experience in marketing and promotional concepts including managing website content and developing e-newsletters and surveys.  You are proficient in the use of social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram and have well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

You are an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who can prioritise work in a fast-paced environment and has well-developed administration skills. You have strong interpersonal and public relations skills, along with experience in event support, including event planning, delivery, set up and pack down.

Please note: This position requires some weekend and evening work throughout the year.  It involves manual handling of equipment and materials, and engagement with service providers and participants during and after community events.  Candidates must be able to lift and move items of up to 20kg in weight, and be able to stand for long periods of time.

To be considered for this role, you must address the following essential selection criteria as part of your online application:

  1. Demonstrated experience in overseeing marketing and promotional content utilising social media platforms and website
  2. Demonstrated event support and well-developed administration skills
  3. Excellent public relations, written and verbal communication skills
  4. Computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office suite of products and website applications

We are offering a gross annual salary of $83,781 per annum and:

  • 12% superannuation with the opportunity to co-contribute up to a matching 5%

What you will do:
  • Review and deploy optimised Spanish content via our CMS (Sanity)
  • Brief third-party providers on content structure and purpose to achieve SEO outcomes for the Spanish market
  • Coordinate with the CRM and Design team members for regular Spanish content activity
  • Research, plan, and strategies Spanish content for new games, sporting events, and blogs
  • Analyse Spanish search keywords and report search performance

  • Plan and prioritise resourcing for SEO Activity in Spanish

What you will bring:
  • Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish
  • Tertiary qualifications or a degree in Business, Marketing or other related discipline is desirable and would be preferable
