Varied and interesting role

Supportive organization/leadership with growth opportunities

Hi there! We’re Five Good Friends.
We’re an approved aged care and NDIS service provider helping our Members (others call them clients) live vibrantly in their own homes. Friendship guides our philosophy.
Our approach to care is done the Five Good Friends way- We wrap a care team around our Members and their families, supported by innovative software that coordinates in the background—so our teams can focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional care.
We’re proud to be a place where purpose meets impact. Every day, our work contributes to helping people live their best lives, and that starts with our people.

As we grow and deepen our partnerships with retirement villages, we’re investing in new roles that bring care, connection, and wellbeing directly to residents. That’s where you come in.

About the Role
We’re looking for a Nurse/Care Concierge to join our team in a full-time capacity, working within one of our strategic village partnerships.
This is a unique opportunity to be the go-to for residents, their families and village staff- providing advice, support, and education to help them to grow older well, stay independent, and remain connected to their community.
While we ask for nursing or allied health qualifications, this is not a clinical role. Instead, we’re looking for someone who can bring their clinical insight and understanding of ageing and complex needs into a role that’s all about building trusted relationships, guiding residents through the aged care journey, and connecting them to the right support at the right time.

You’ll draw on your clinical expertise and interpersonal skills to deliver our “Move.Nourish.Connect.” wellness program, and foster meaningful connections with residents, families, and village staff.
Success in this role will be delivered in a variety of ways, including:

  • The strength of relationships built with village management and residents both current and new.

  • The number of residents that you are able to guide and nurture through the aged care journey.

  • The number of new residents that become FGF Members

  • New villages that want FGF to support a Care Strategy for them

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing one-on-one consultations with residents to understand their care needs.

  • Hosting events in partner retirement villages.

  • Presenting to residents on topics like healthy ageing, accessing care services, and staying connected.

  • Assisting residents to contact and organise assessments and services through My Aged Care.

  • Connecting residents to tailored care solutions through Five Good Friends.

  • Collaborating with our Care Team and village staff to support smooth transitions and ongoing care.

  • Designing and leading wellness activities aligned to residents’ goals using our “Move.Nourish.Connect.” framework.

  • Maintaining accurate records

  • Building trusted relationships with residents, families, and healthcare providers.

  • Representing Five Good Friends with pride, passion and professionalism.

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in a health-related field (e.g. Nursing or Allied Health), not a must, however highly desired.

  • Current AHPRA registration (as required and if appropriate).

  • Experience in community or aged care settings.

  • Knowledge of aged care systems and funding options, including My Aged Care.

  • Experience with health education, event facilitation or wellness program delivery.

  • Familiarity with retirement villages or supported living environments (desirable).

  • Passionate about supporting older Australians to live meaningful and independent lives.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Well-organised, self-directed, and tech-savvy.

  • Current driver’s license and National Police Check.

  • You must have the right to work in Australia.

What’s in It for You

  • Flexible work options to suit your lifestyle.

  • $500 yearly wellness allowance to spend on anything that helps you feel good outside of work.

  • Extra time off – after 2 years, you’ll earn an extra day of annual leave each year. You can also buy more leave if you’d like.

  • Free, confidential counselling through our Employee Assistance Program.

  • Parental leave support – we top up wages for eligible caregivers, and primary caregivers get extra super during their first year of unpaid leave.

  • Free Five Good Friends membership (worth over $7,000/year) for a loved one receiving care.

  • We’re a genuinely great place to work – our employee engagement scores are 17% above the industry average.

  • Okinawa trip – after 5 years with us, we’ll send you to Japan to visit the community that inspired Five Good Friends. Flights, hotel, and transfers are all covered.
