About the Role:
The company is launching a new chemical blending division and are seeking a hands-on, motivated individual to lead operations from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing business with established sales and ambitious expansion plans.
The Leading Hand role encompasses management of the entire site. You’ll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring safety compliance, driving efficiency and quality in production. You’ll play a key role in shaping the site’s culture and processes, with the opportunity to grow into broader leadership as the business scales.
What we’re looking for:
A proactive, hands-on leader with a strong operational mindset
Experience in chemical manufacturing, blending, or related industries
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Career ambition and a desire to grow with the business
Duties:
Responsibility of the entire site including staff, production and inventory
Maintaining the requirements of the Quality, Safety, Environment based systems in a Dangerous Good Manufacturing Environment.
Hands on role formulating chemical batches, operating packaging lines and forklift driving to receive and despatch goods.
Liaise with Technical Support –QA Co-Ordinator, providing assistance with External/Internal Audits and WINs
Proactive continuous improvement
Skills and Experience:
Small Batch Chemical Compounding
High standard of safety working with Dangerous Goods
Able to work methodically and accurately
Mechanical aptitude to operate and maintain equipment
Forklift Licence is preferred
First Aid Certification would be preferred
Physically fit
