Our Client is a Steel distributor and Engineering company based in Smithfield.
They are currently seeking packaging staff and forklift drivers/machine operators assistants for Day shift 6-2pm
DAY SHIFT 6-2pm ($40 per hour)
Duties include but not limited;
Reposition steel on plasma machine
load and unload steel, plasma and laser beds
organise pallets, skids etc.
check identification marks against work orders
weighing materials
pack finished products
read codes and labels
assist in stocktakes
goods receipting
completion of con notes and run sheets
The successful candidate will have;
Have worked in a similar role within the Metal / Manufacturing Industry
Overhead Crane experience preferred not essential
Forklift Licence
Own transport due to location
This is a temp to perm role and you will be required to work overtime at times. Would suit a team player with a great work ethic and stable work history.
PLEASE NOTE THE PERMANENT RATE IS $32 PER HOUR
Excellent working conditions! The successful candidate will undergo a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
