JOB ROLE SPECIFICS

Hours: We offer all of our team casual contracts however you can choose from Full time or Part time hours. Guaranteed, set hours each week.

  • We offer flexibility in days/hours including alternate weekends, only one late night trade (which is Thursday until 8pm), as well as later starts/earlier finishes-let’s chat about what works best for you.

  • Permanent roles can be made available after a qualifying period if preferred.

Casual Rates: Monday to Friday is $35.80, Saturday is $45.24, and Sunday is $64.44 per hour!

About the role

We are seeking an experienced School Facilities & Services Cleaner to join our team at Staughton College in Melton South, VIC 3338. This is a full-time position, and you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of our school facilities.

School holiday attendance of 21 days will be required with a leave purchase allowance paid fortnightly. 

What you'll be doing

Under the direction of the Facilities Leader, the School Facilities & Services Cleaner will work in a small team to maintain the general appearance of the school buildings and grounds, including minor maintenance and repairs, cleaning and yard sweeping. 

Specific Duties:

  • Under the direction of the Facilities Leader, follow a work schedule for the College's cleaning, maintenance and grounds for routine and ad hoc requirements.

  • Identify and report any repair and maintenance requirements. 

  • Ensure the school is maintained as a clean and tidy environment, ensuring paths of travel are clear, collecting litter and debris around the school grounds including operating the ride on sweeper, pressure washer and blower vacuum.

  • Graffiti and chewing gum removal.

  • Provide care, cleaning and upkeep of the schools buildings, grounds, classrooms and facilities.

  • Ensuring heating and cooling is turned on/off in classrooms prior to the commencement and after cessation of the school day.

  • Maintain the staff kitchen facilities daily.

  • Emptying of yard bins.

  • Aid staff with practical arrangements for functions, assemblies, exams and other school events including but not limited to moving furniture, packages and deliveries.

  • Other duties and general cleaning as directed by the Facilities Leader, College Infrastructure Leader or Principal.

Midolo Building Services Pty Ltd is a family run business servicing various high security commercial sites for government agencies. We have ongoing commercial maintenance contracts and have been in this industry for 30 years. We are based in O’Connor and carry outongoing maintenance and repairs across multiple sites all over the Perth Metro area.

About the role:

Work is varied from day-to-day maintenance such as door, wall, ceiling and window repairs, tiling, skylight and roof leak repairs to larger projects upgrading security, designing, manufacturing and installing. We have a large onsite workshop that includes a glazing area, timber workshop and welding area.

Skills required:

·         Can do attitude with the ability to think outside the box.

·         Willingness to learn.
