Looking for an experienced gardener or horticulturalist to work in a small garden maintenance company servicing properties on the north shore and eastern suburbs . Experience and driver's license is essentialfor this role . Must be competent in hedging, lawn care , plant ID, pest and disease management and basics irrigation repairs. As our Turf business continues to grow, we have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic experienced team member to join our exiting team.   You’ll work across various contracts across the South East Queensland starting and finishing your day at the depot in Yatala. 

Key components of the role include turf maintenance including fertiliser application (Quad Bike), Aeration (Tractor), Chemical application using Toro Multipro spray units or quad mounted spray units and machinery maintenance. 

Initially your duties will primarily be driving the truck to various sites throughout Brisbane carrying out the fertilising of sports fields utilising the quad bike with the fertiliser spreader.

In addition to this, on some occasions assist with hedging, brush cutting, mowing, knapsack weed control and quadbike weed control.  The incumbent will progress to learning additional areas such as the operation of tractors and Multipro spray systems.

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has a background in farming who has experience in operating the various items of machinery.

Key Requirements

  • Manual MR Class Driving licence

  • Certificate III in Sports Turf Management is desirable but experience in spraying and machine use is vital

  • Experience applying fertilizer and mixing and applying chemicals for turf and weed management

  • ACDC licence highly regarded but Technigro can assist with this but Chemical Certificate a minimum requirement
