Pro Tax Returns have been successfully operating an accounting firm in North Sydney NSW offering a wide variety of accounting services to companies and individuals. We are now seeking an experienced Accountant for a full-time role within our organisation.

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for end-to-end accounting and reporting functions across the business. You will also be involved in quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes for company clients as well as providing assistance to individual clients in relation to their annual tax returns and superannuation.


Your duties:

  • Assisting the business and clients in preparing their tax returns, quarterly and annual statements

  • Completing payroll activities on behalf of the company and clients (PAYG, Payroll Tax and Superannuation)

  • Formulating and analysing regular company reports such as BAS, Profit & Loss, Assets, Cash flow 

  • Accurately preparing clients trial balance audit, P&L and BAS reconciliation for approval 

  • Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements are met

  • Using and maintaining accounting systems

  • Assisting company directors with preparation of forecasts and the annual budget

  • Providing support to account payable/receivable, debt collections and bank reconciliations

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of practical experience

  • Bachelor or higher degree in a relevant field

  • Strong understanding of income tax & business activity statements

  • Experience in professional services or a similar commercially complex, people-driven environment (highly advantageous).
  • Demonstrated success partnering with senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations, BD and Regional Leadership.
  • Comfort operating within a matrixed, multinational context.
  • A balance of detail orientation with pragmatic, commercial problem-solving.
  • Relevant qualifications such as CA/CPA/CIMA or MBA (preferred).

I’m working with a well-regarded Tier 2 developer in Sydney who has a big couple of years ahead, with around 1,000 properties due for completion in 2026. We are on the lookout for a Client Services Manager to look after their Completed Residential Apartments and work alongside the Client Care & Delivery team and own that final stage from “almost finished” to “keys in hand” for purchasers to take over.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that will suit someone coming from a Real Estate Sales Admin or CSM background who loves being on-site, meeting buyers, and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

What you’ll be doing
  • Conducting Pre-Settlement Inspections and walkthroughs for recently completed apartments
  • Coordinating key handovers and making sure purchasers have a smooth, positive handover experience
  • Facilitating access for valuations in preparation for settlements
  • Booking appointments and managing communications with buyers, valuers and internal teams
  • Periodically inspecting unsold completed stock to ensure everything is clean, operational and presentation-ready (appliances, air conditioning, water, etc.)
