The Role
  • Administer head contracts and subcontracts across residential, mixed use and commercial projects
  • Package, procure and negotiate subcontract scopes
  • Manage progress claims, variations, EOTs and all contractual correspondence 
  • Maintain accurate cost reports, forecasting and cash flow tracking
  • Review drawings, design changes and documentation to capture commercial impacts
  • Work closely with consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues
  • Support the PM with program inputs, procurement strategy and risk management
  • Prepare commercial reports and updates for Directors
  
The Criteria
  • Five plus years’ experience as a CA in commercial or multi storey construction
  • Strong commercial judgement with the ability to protect margin, negotiate confidently and identify commercial risk early
  • Deep understanding of contracts, procurement strategy, cost control and financial reporting
  • Ability to navigate design changes, scope gaps and client driven amendments without losing commercial position
  • Local Adelaide experience and a strong subcontractor network highly beneficial

Role Details

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to support civil construction activities on a substation and switching station upgrade. You must be reliable, safety-focused, and competent operating excavators around live services, foundations, trenches, and other civil works. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work within a high-risk environment are essential.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Operating excavators for trenching, footings, battering, backfilling and general civil works
  • Working around live services and critical infrastructure
  • Assisting civil crews during substation construction activities
  • Supporting tasks such as foundations, drainage installation and materials handling
  • Conducting pre-start checks and maintaining plant to required standards
