Duties and Responsibilities
Working autonomously and within a tight-knit team the Mechanical Technician/Sprinkler Fitter is supported by administrative and trades persons to work within the Service team providing I&T and D&C duties for one our key remote clients on an 8/6 (8 days on, 6 days off) (12-hour days) maintaining Fire Pumps, Sprinkler/Deluge/Special Hazards systems, Hydrants, Hose reels and Portables across their facilities.
Salary: $160,000 p/annum plus super
Roster: 8/6 (8 days on, 6 days off) (12-hour days)
Sites: Fortescue
Duties include:
I&T routine compliance testing to AS1851
D&C / breakdown works,
Close liaison with our client on site personal,
Managing your own daily schedule,
Scoping of materials for D&C and Breakdown tasks,
Completing all on-site paperwork to access locations and perform tasks,
Reporting directly to our Perth based Account Manager,
Work with ARA Fire Alarm Technician to assist, preform 2 man testing etc.
Completion of task within our Service Maintenance software CLARAFY.
Requirements:
Sprinkler fitters’ trade certificate
Current drivers licence inclusive of 4WD certification
Completion of medial inclusive of drug & alcohol test
Current Senior 1st aid course (preferable)
Preference to those that have worked on mine sites previously
Extinguishing Agent Handling Licence (EAHL)
The successful applicant requires a high degree of organisational skills, prioritisation of tasks, customer focus, calm, focused, self-motivated, interaction with clients’ daily and owns a task through to its completion.
This role will suit someone who:
Is well organised, work with ambiguity and changes to daily activities.
Has a strong work ethic and works well multiple units within the mine site operations.
Is cooperative and carry through to the completion of task.
Copes with being busy at times and enjoys pressure.
Can be relied upon to work efficiently when unsupervised.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in trade
