About the Role

As our Leading Hand Carpenter, you will play a key role in coordinating day-to-day site activities, supervising trades, and ensuring our projects are delivered to the highest standard. You’ll work closely with the Site Manager and Director, taking ownership of workmanship, timelines, and site safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor carpentry teams on renovation and extension projects

  • Interpret and work from architectural drawings and specifications

  • Coordinate subcontractors and ensure smooth workflow on site

  • Undertake high-quality carpentry works including framing, fix, fit-off, cladding, and architectural detailing

  • Maintain site safety, cleanliness, and compliance with WHS requirements

  • Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and project management

  • Assist with scheduling, materials ordering, and daily reporting

About You
  • Qualified Carpenter (Cert III in Carpentry or equivalent)

  • Minimum 4–5 years experience in residential construction

  • Previous Leading Hand or Senior Carpenter experience is highly desirable

  • Strong ability to manage teams and drive productivity

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finishes

  • White Card & valid driver’s licence

  • Ability to problem-solve on site and work under minimal supervision

About the role

What you'll be doing

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the locksmith service team, including scheduling, dispatching, and monitoring the work of technicians
