You'll manage the schedule for the design phase in alignment with the broader project objectives, including procurement and construction.

This is a critical role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and can manage both office-based and site-based responsibilities effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain the Quality Management Plan throughout the design and construction phases of the project.
  • Supervise quality inspections at contractor facilities and oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), as well as site inspections during construction and commissioning.
  • Act as the commissioning manager, ensuring all performance verification activities are conducted efficiently.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Facilitate weekly project meetings, tracking deliverables and managing action registers.
  • Oversee the management of technical documents and drawings, ensuring they are kept up-to-date and in line with project specifications.
4. Site Support:
  • During the project’s execution phase, support site activities, ensuring alignment with project schedules, quality standards, and engineering requirements.
  • Assist with commissioning resources and manage quality checks on construction and commissioning activities.

Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience in design engineering management, with a background in managing complex projects, particularly in the energy, infrastructure, or similar industries.
  • Strong understanding of design and quality management processes, including drawing management and change management.
  • Experience in coordinating and leading cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage both office-based and site-based teams effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Experience in conducting quality inspections, FAT, and commissioning activities is highly desirable.
Role Requirements:
This role will require substantial site travel (regional VIC & NSW) - this may be up to 1-2 weeks per 4-6 weeks. Travel and accommodation costs provided.
