KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Develop detailed mechanical designs and drawings using Autodesk Inventor.

·         Manage and control the life cycle of design data using Autodesk Vault.

·         Prepare BOM and maintain them using Autodesk Vault PDM.

·         Design pressure vessels in compliance with ASME and AS1210 codes.

·         Create and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, change requests, and ECO.

·         Create and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, assembly instructions, and maintenance manuals.

·         Carry out and review Engineering calculations to ensure they are consistent with SMARDT’s design intent and the applicable codes.

·         Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during the manufacturing process.

·         Provide assistance to production related to design and BOM-related queries.

·         Carry out classical engineering calculations and generate calculation sheets.

·         Create 3D models, 2D drawings, Bills of Materials (BoMs), work instructions, and technical and commercial proposals as required.

·         Other duties as required.


QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

·         A minimum of bachelor’s degree required in Mechanical Engineering (essential)

·        To be a Chartered Engineer (CPEng)

·         Proficient in designing shell and tube heat exchangers.

·         Expertise in designing sheet metal and structural components.

·         Well-versed in designing HVAC systems.

·         Adept in conducting thermal analysis.

·         Experience with ASME and AS1210 Pressure Vessel Codes is mandatory.

·         Familiarity with ASHREA/ANSI/ASME codes and design requirements is desirable.

·         Experience with ASME (UHX) and TEMA for pressure vessel and heat exchanger design is required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Facilities Department to deliver all maintenance tasks as specified within the Technical Maintenance Plan to the required standard
  • Drive business maintenance improvement to modernise the business for the future, through improved work practices, staffing and technology
  • Ensure that the maintenance practices meet all legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as relevant maintenance standards and processes
  • Ensure delivery of the Facilities Maintenance contracted works including reporting in line performance, safety and quality in accordance with Metro's contractor management procedures
  • Work closely with the Integrated Fault Centre to ensure fault responses are as quick and efficient as possible.
  • Assist Maintenance Manager with delivery of priority tasks.
  • Ensure continuous improvement is achieved through managing fault reviews and investigations.
  • Lead and drive performance and accountability through daily visualisation reports and meetings
  • Develop junior staff in both the technical and professional elements of their roles.


About You

As a Cabin Interior Technician, you’ll play a key role in maintaining Alliance Airlines’ fleet interiors to the highest standards. You’ll be responsible for ensuring all cabin maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Alliance Maintenance Organisation (AMO) policies and procedures.

This includes operating and maintaining the mobile cabin interiors store vehicles, supporting the presentation of our aircraft cabins, and carrying out assigned maintenance and certification duties. Key responsibilities include:

About the role

This is a full-time permanent/temporary role based at Knox City Council's Civic Centre in Wantirna South. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.

This is a Band 6 classified role. Remuneration will be $98,353.35 to $107,416.64 gross per annum (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee. 

What you will bring to this role  

The key selection criteria for this role are: 

  • Experience in the Integrated Water Management (IWM) industry including the design or management of stormwater systems and flood investigations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the application of hydrologic estimation, hydraulic design, Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) and IWM principles with proficiency in the application of engineering theory, procedures, practices, Acts & Regulations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the application of hydrologic estimation, hydraulic design, Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) and IWM principles with proficiency in the application of engineering theory, procedures, practices, Acts & Regulations.
  • Experience in the project management of civil (particularly stormwater) projects.
  • Experience in the use of engineering design tools is required. Experience using QGIS, MapInfo, AutoCAD, Civil Site Design and TUFLOW is highly desirable but not essential.
