Your duties will be:

• Day to day running of this surgical practice

• Taking the many phone calls in a timely and courteous manner

• Scheduling of appointments

• Managing consulting sessions

• Diary management

• Billings

• Excellent IT skills ( preferably with Gentu)

• Experience with MS Office Suite

• Medical typing with high level of accuracy.

• Hospital & theatre bookings

• Manage EMR Software suite

• Provide high level administrative support to medical executives

• Handle accreditation paperwork, health fund registration, and fee schedule updates

• Faxing, scanning, mail-outs, open, stamp and action in-coming mail and results, type documents as needed

• Schedule meetings, prioritise appointments to ensure effective time management.

• Basic understanding of healthcare systems

• Perform other administrative tasks as directed by practice manager or director(s)

• Adhere to practice duty of care and confidentiality

• Co-ordinate travel arrangements, conferences and other events for surgeon and medical professionals as needed

• Prepare accurate Finance Reports for surgeon

• Serve as a liaison between medical executives and internal/external stakeholders, including staff, patients and other healthcare providers

• Prepare, edit and proof read correspondence, reports, presentations and other documents

Communication:

• Regular communication

• Answering all incoming calls, emails and messages

• Distribution of patient related correspondence

Professional Development:

• Participation in all ongoing education and professional development

Training:

• Maintain up to date knowledge of organisational policies and procedures

About the role

Temporary part time opportunity within a case management model to deliver high quality, evidence based Occupational Therapy services to adolescents (aged 14-17 years inclusive) with severe and complex mental health disorders requiring hospital-based assessment and treatment. The role works within the multidisciplinary team and care is delivered with a focus on planning and provision of clinical care and therapeutic interventions within a recovery and trauma-informed rehabilitation framework. This position also provides clinical practice and professional supervision to less experienced Occupational Therapists to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards within the service, commensurate with experience.

In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychological care to patients within our inpatient program.

You will facilitate group therapy, individual reviews and contribute to the ongoing development and evaluation of the program. While this position is primarily based in the Eating Disorder Inpatient Program, there may be opportunity to contribute to outpatient programs or other specialty areas depending on your expertise and interests.

Essential criteria:

• Full registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA (Clinical endorsement highly desirable).

• Knowledge and experience in evidence-based therapy models (e.g., CBT-E, DBT, ACT, Schema Therapy, IPT).

• Willingness to contribute to service development and continuous quality improvement.

• AHPRA Approved Supervisor (Board-Approved Supervisor status).

The role of the Associate Midwife/Nurse Unit Manager (AMUM) plays a pivotal leadership and clinical role within the Postnatal Maternity Ward, working in partnership with the Midwife Unit Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and woman-centred postnatal care.

This role is responsible for and requires a commitment to fostering a positive and supportive environment for both patients and staff, promoting evidence-based care, clinical governance, and professional development. The AMUM advocates for women and their families, ensuring that care is culturally sensitive, respectful, and aligned with individual needs and preferences during the postnatal period.

The AMUM provides day-to-day operational leadership, supporting midwifery and multidisciplinary staff in the coordination, evaluation, and continuous improvement of postnatal services. The role includes oversight of staffing, clinical standards, patient flow, and resource management while maintaining a strong clinical presence and modelling best midwifery practice.

The AMUM acts as a role model in upholding the values of the organisation, demonstrating leadership, integrity, and accountability, and contributes to strategic planning, quality initiatives, and service development within the maternity service.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Minimum 4 years' experience as a Registered Nurse/Midwife or Clinical Nurse / Midwifery Specialist
• Level 3 FSEP
• Accredited to complete baby checks

• Proven ability to work within a team
• Demonstrated effective communication skills and able to understand the scope of the role
• Must be able to demonstrate sound clinical assessments and analysis, and implement indicated treatments
• Must be able to work a rotating roster, including day, evening and night duty shifts
• Demonstrated understanding of the principals of both Management and Leadership
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the principles of access management and effective patient flow
