We are located at Normanton, which is 700 km west of Cairns and 70 km east of the fishing town of Karumba. We are accessible by sealed road for the car or bus and a regular plane service.
We have pokies, keno, tab, motel units with a swimming pool, bistro and the largest drive thru liquor barn in the north west.
We are a family pub with pool competitions, karaoke on a friday night and barramundi fishing on the weekends.
Normanton has the annual rodeo and barramundi fishing competition.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
At least 5 years experience in the kitchen.
Worked in a remote location would be an advantage.
Be able to work and live with other staff members in a family atmosphere.
In the kitchen do prep , clean fridges ,store away supplies
Experience in point of sale , and serving customers.
Help in the other areas of the hotel if required.

Foxeys Hangout Wine Co. has a unique opportunity for a cook, or second- or third-year apprentice to join our team of hospitality professionals on the Mornington Peninsula.
About us
Nestled in Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula – between the surf coast of Western Port and tranquil Port Phillip Bay – Foxeys Hangout has hand-crafted wines for more than 20 years.
We operate two daytime-only venues: a thriving cellar door and restaurant at Foxeys Hangout and the recently reopened Morning Sun venue in Main Ridge. Morning Sun opens Thursday to Sunday.

About the Role
The successful candidate will join a highly productive and capable team under the direction of Foxeys / Morning Sun group Head Chef Bernard McCarthy.
Key responsibilities include:
preparing and serving lunches in an informal winery restaurant open four days per week
catering for occasional daytime functions and wine club events
keeping a tidy, food-safe kitchen while adhering to proper stock rotation, labelling and storage practices
assisting the group head chef with ordering of goods
In the day-to-day operations, you will work with the front-of-house team to ensure the smooth running of services.

With comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and OH&S standards, you take pride in keeping your section stocked and tidy. You understand the importance of working as part of a team and support by ensuring all preparation for your section is in line with service for the day and adheres to food safety requirements.
Your role will be pivotal in shaping the success of our food and beverage operations at The Star Sydney.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Reception/ Front Office Assistant to join our team. The role plays a crucial role in supporting the entire team and ensuring the smooth operation of all processes. This exciting role would suit a motivated individual with attention to detail and great organisational skills. Previous experience within the industry is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
In a professional and friendly manner, assist in the answering of inbound phone calls and pass along to the team as required.
Provide administrative support to the Strata Managers, including document preparation, correspondence, and record-keeping.
Respond to client enquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
Liaising with contractors, property owners, and agents.
Maintain a professional, business-like appearance at all times.
Maintain and update strata management software (StrataMax).
Performing any other ad-hoc front office and administration duties.
Qualifications and Skills:
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new systems with a knowledge of the StrataMax software highly regarded.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
A customer service background is preferred.

As a Chef with the Australian Antarctic Division (AAD), you will be responsible for Station cooking and catering, food safety and kitchen hygiene, control of all foodstuffs and consumables, and for contributing to re-ordering of foodstuffs and consumables for the succeeding expedition. Additionally, the Chef assigned to Casey station will be required to be available to relieve the Wilkins Aerodrome Chef at times throughout the flying season. Duties whilst at Wilkins Aerodrome are outlined in the job description when you click "Apply".
Chefs can be employed in either summer or winter jobs; shorter winter opportunities may also arise. Chefs are employed at all three Antarctic stations as well as Macquarie Island and Wilkins Aerodrome.
Senior ChefIn addition to the duties of Chef, as a Senior Chef you will be required to participate in the Station Leadership group, attending regular meetings as the representative of the Catering Services section. The Senior Chef provides direction and mentorship where there is more than a single Chef on station, driving menu planning and completing regular reporting.
