What you'll be doing

  • Customer service - including answering phones and order entry

The Role:

As a member of the Logyard team, you will be responsible for efficiently and safely performing duties of the Logyard using relevant plant and equipment. This involves multi skilling and job rotation with key responsibilities of operating log grabs to unload trucks, loading logs into the mill infeed, and operating the debarker.

Hourly rate of $31.79 per hour (Level 5) once trained and assessed with additional 15% shift loading on afternoon shift.

Working a 5-day week (Monday-Friday), 8 hours per day on a rotating day and afternoon shift roster plus overtime as required.

Day shift is from 7am-3pm and afternoon shift is 3pm-11pm.

You: 

·      have previous log grab/debarker operation and/or heavy vehicle operation experience

·      ideally hold a relevant mobile plant licence (loader, log grab, harvester etc.)

·      have a strong commitment to working safely, with the ability to follow procedures

·      are a reliable and punctual employee with effective communication skills

·      can work effectively as a member of a self-contained crew

·      are willing to learn different roles to become multiskilled

·      are flexible to cover shifts on short notice as required
