About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Onsite Supervisor / Team Leader to oversee the delivery of a General Maintenance Contract at Howard Springs Defence Accommodation facility. This is a hands-on leadership position suited to an experienced tradesperson who enjoys leading by example and maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate, manage and supervise a small team of maintenance personnel.
Carry out hands-on general maintenance tasks across the facility, ensuring quality and compliance with contractual requirements.
Plan and allocate daily works, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of scheduled and reactive maintenance.
Manage site inventory and maintain accurate stock control of materials, tools, and equipment.
Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to the satisfaction of the Superintendent.
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth communication and effective service delivery.
Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical support to team members.
About You:
Qualified tradesperson Carpenter, Plumber, Electrician, or similar) with broad maintenance experience.
Proven experience in a supervisory, leading hand, or team leader role within facilities maintenance or construction.
Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and priorities.
Sound knowledge of WHS requirements and safe work practices.
Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of site performance and outcomes.
Government contract experience (highly regarded).
Current driver’s licence and relevant trade qualifications.
