Wurli-Wurlinjang Health Service is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation delivering primary and clinical health care services to the Aboriginal people in Katherine and surrounding communities. Wurli prides itself on delivering a range of health and wellbeing services to the community in a style and manner that makes clients feel welcome and comfortable. Services include acute and general care, chronic disease, Women’s & Children health, men’s health, alcohol and other drugs, social and emotional wellbeing and client support services.
The Health Promotions function is a part of Wurli Strategic plan and vision to develop and deliver a consistent approach to health promotion across all areas of the organisation for the Wurli wider community. Lead by a Health Promotions Coordinator this service unit will be required to work in a collaborative manner across the Primary Health Service and Community Services sector of our business to provide effective health promotion and education to our people. The Health Promotions Officer role is responsible for the fostering of a culture of health promotion across the organisation and the development and implementation of effective health promotion interventions and capacity building strategies in accordance with the priority health and wellbeing issues within the Katherine Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The role will be pivotal in assisting Wurli address the health inequities for their people and engaging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people at risk of marginalisation into a welcoming and non-threatening health intervention and wellbeing services.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and mentor housekeeping staff, fostering a motivated and high-performing team.
Plan and monitor room and public area cleaning, including deep cleaning and preventive maintenance schedules.
Liaise with Front Desk, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Manage inventory, linen, and supplies to control costs and prevent stock loss.
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations and environmental initiatives.
Handle guest requests and complaints professionally, maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction.
Assist with recruitment, performance management, and staff training in line with departmental goals.
Uphold Accor’s Heartist culture and values across all team interactions.
Qualifications
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:
Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a supervisory role within housekeeping or hospitality.
Previous experience in hotel operations and team management.
Experience with inventory control, rostering and budget management highly desirable.
Understanding of Opera PMS is desirable but not essential.
Competencies:
Strong leadership and team development skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
