  • An ACECQA approved Bachelor's Degree of Early Childhood Education or equivalent

About our team

This is predominantly an on-the-ground role where you will be out in BCE schools, actively supporting staff and making a real difference in student engagement, wellbeing, and learning outcomes. As the Senior Education Advisor - Coaching and Engagement, you will be a catalyst for organisational change, driving process improvements and building capability across schools and colleges. You'll work directly with school teams and leaders, providing expert coaching, strategic advice, and targeted interventions. Your work will foster inclusive environments, support continuous improvement, and deliver sustainable change through evidence-informed practices and will be supporting our primary schools.

About the opportunity

In this position you will:

  • Advise, coach, and empower school teams, leaders, and multidisciplinary groups using a strength-based approach and the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework, including Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L) and Levels of Teaching Response.
  • Identify, create, and implement targeted interventions and strategic support to enhance student engagement, behaviour, and wellbeing, fostering safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environments.

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement Education Adjustment Plans (EAPs), Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and Adjustment Plans for students with verified disabilities

  • Monitor student progress using diagnostic and formative assessment, maintaining accurate records including EAL/D Band scales

About You:

We are seeking an experienced educator who is passionate about inclusive education and making a difference for all learners.

You will hold appropriate qualifications in a relevant area such as TESOL, Gifted Education, or Special Education, and possess current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration. With at least 5 years of teaching experience, including 5+ years working as a Diverse Learning or Gifted & Talented teacher, you bring a proven track record in diverse education.

Your deep knowledge of contemporary issues, trends, and programs for diverse learning, combined with your ability to work collaboratively, will enable you to support both students and staff effectively. About This Opportunity

The University of Queensland is seeking an innovative Chief Information Officer (CIO) to shape the future of Information Technology Services (ITS) across one of Australia's leading research and teaching institutions.

As a senior executive within the Chief Operating Officer portfolio, the CIO will be a strategic force that drives alignment between cutting-edge IT initiatives and UQ's academic, research, and operational priorities.
