The Physiotherapy Department at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Senior Physiotherapist (Emergency Department) to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity

To deliver high level comprehensive physiotherapy clinical skills and leadership, to provide effective and efficient treatment across the Emergency Department clinical areas, to client groups within the district, as determined through the Health Service Plan and priorities.  

About the Team

Our Physiotherapy Service delivers care to patients, both adults and children, throughout our hospital departments as well as in outpatient, community and rural settings. Our Physiotherapists aim to restore a person's function, maximising their mobility and health and minimising their dysfunction. Treatment is tailored to each individual and is based on the patient's needs.

MBH Emergency Department is a mixed Emergency Department with an approximate 48000 emergency presentations per year across all age demographics. The ED manages all ATS categories of adult and paediatric patients including major trauma, mental health and acute and chronic medical and surgical conditions.

About the Opportunity

We’re URGENTLY looking for a Team Leader Events to join the City Activation Team as soon as possible, reporting to the Manager City Activation. The role involves providing expert advice and strategic leadership in all aspects of event management, ensuring alignment with the City of Holdfast Bay’s branding and strategic objectives. It includes full project oversight from concept to evaluation, stakeholder engagement, sponsorship acquisition and management, compliance with WHS and legislative requirements, and fostering a customer-centric culture.

The position also requires effective communication, project management, logistical coordination, team leadership expertise, and continuous improvement of work practices, along with ensuring events deliver value to the community and maintain high standards across Council assets.

This is a fixed term position until 28 February 2026.

 

What You’ll Do:

· Event Strategy & Delivery: Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of Council events, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, branding, and community benefit.

· Stakeholder Engagement: Provide expert advice and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external organisers, sponsors, volunteers, and the community.

· Sponsorship & Budget Management: Attract and manage sponsorships, oversee event budgets, procurement, and ensure financial objectives and ROI are met.

· Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all events meet WHS, legislative, and policy requirements, with robust risk management and high standards of delivery.

· Leadership & Development: Foster a customer-focused culture, lead staff development, and contribute to organisational improvement through strategic leadership and collaboration.


What We’re Looking For:

· A minimum of 10 years’ experience in events management.

· Strong project management and team leadership skills.

· Experience leading and working with cross functional teams and external event organisers.

· Experience managing large-scale events as the role is required to oversee events including Tour Down Under, various beach concerts, and Glenelg’s iconic New Year’s Eve event.

About the role

As part of the Hearing Health Program team, you'll deliver culturally safe hearing screening and education services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from Prep to Year 4 across the North West region. In this role, you will: •

  • Conduct hearing screenings and refer children for follow-up care.
  • Provide culturally appropriate health education to families and schools.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to support community-based hearing programs.
  • Promote self-management and holistic approaches to child and family wellbeing.
  • Contribute to data collection, reporting, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

As a Senior Staff Specialist / Staff Specialist in Orthopaedics, you will deliver high-quality specialist orthopaedic care across Caboolture, Kilcoy, and Woodford facilities. About the Role

The EL1 Business Resilience Manager plays a key leadership role in strengthening the Commission’s organisational resilience and ability to prepare for, respond to and recover from disruptive events. The position is responsible for maintaining and embedding the Commission’s Business Resilience Framework and associated plans, providing expert advice and guidance to staff and executives, and ensuring compliance with whole-of-government integrity, risk, and security requirements. The role promotes a culture of preparedness and continuous improvement, contributes to crisis and continuity planning and response, and engages across the Commission and with external partners to safeguard people, assets and information.

Position Duties

  • Lead and support the Commission’s Business program and related activities, including business resilience strategies, frameworks, policies, and procedures to meet Commission requirements
  • Provide authoritative advice and support to executives, governance committees, and business areas on business continuity, crisis response and recovery activities.
  • Partner with business areas Commission-wide to embed a fit for purpose organisational business resilience framework for Business Continuity (BC), Crisis Management (CM) and Emergency Management (EM)
  • Develop, maintain, and implement Business Continuity Plans (both operational and enterprise-level plans), disaster recovery plans and associated strategies and solutions
  • Conduct business risk assessments, business impact analyses, and document business continuity and disaster recovery plans and procedures.
  • Plan, conduct, facilitate and debrief BCM exercises, including desktop simulations, BCP testing, and scenario workshops, to test and improve the adequacy and efficiency of existing plans and strategies
  • Assist and support the Business Continuity Team and Executives during disruptive events, acting as lead coordinator for continuity efforts and lessons learned post- event
  • Monitor compliance with relevant frameworks, including the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and government policies, ensuring alignment with best practice standards
  • Ensure reporting to the Business Resilience and Security Committee (BRSC) and other governance forums.
  • Keep abreast of best practice, global, national and industry specific emerging risk and resilience trends.
  • Develop, embed and maintain business resilience artefacts, tools, training and awareness activities to strengthen organisational capability.
  • Prepare and quality assure executive briefings, reports and communications relating to business resilience, including crisis and recovery communications.
  • Manage relationships with external service providers to ensure delivery of resilience-related services and projects.

Position Eligibility Requirements (Selection Criteria):

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in business continuity management and risk management.
  • Well-developed relationship management skills and ability to engage and influence a multidisciplinary workforce and key stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Experience in business improvement focusing on change, process & systems, policy, and planning development.
  • High-level change and project management, conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Excellent business writing and verbal communication skills for effective client relationships and presenting complex information to different audiences.
  • Understanding and practical application of risk management frameworks in the APS context, including obligations under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 and the Commonwealth Risk Management Policy.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance.

  • Salary offered will be between $118,588 - $135,251 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.

Shire of Mundaring is seeking a dedicated and professional Building Surveyor to join our Building and Health Services team. The primary focus of this position is to ensure that all proposed building plans and subsequent construction comply with the Building Code of Australia (BCA), relevant Town Planning Schemes, and other statutory and Council provisions.

The successful candidate will maintain a high level of customer service for ratepayers, residents, and the wider community.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Assess building permit applications, plans, and specifications for building works.

  • Undertake inspections and report on works in progress and other building matters.

  • Provide technical advice and guidance to customers.

  • Administer and implement provisions of relevant Acts, Regulations, and Local Laws.

Role summary by position level:

  • Trainee Building Surveyor (Level 3): This entry-level role is for someone with a background in the building industry who will be trained to assist the team, developing their communication and teamwork skills while learning to navigate the building processes. The successful candidate for this role will be required to undertake study towards a formal qualification in Building Surveying, with the Shire providing support for this requirement. Salary range: $73,612 to $78,273 pa

  • Assistant Building Surveyor (Level 4): This position is for a developing professional who will focus on customer service, evaluating solutions, and applying legislation and codes. This role requires progress towards a formal qualification. Salary range: $80,574 to $85,605 pa

  • Building Surveyor (Level 5): A more senior role requiring strong communication and analytical skills and a minimum Building Surveyor Technician (BST) qualification. This individual will work under general direction, providing guidance and support to the team while administering relevant legislation. Salary range: $87,925 to $92,761 pa

  • Building Surveyor (Level 6): This is a highly skilled position for an experienced professional, with a minimum level 2 qualification and a deep understanding of the Building Code of Australia and related legislation. The role involves practical fieldwork and is critical for ensuring compliance and regulatory integrity. Salary range: $94,185 to $100,444 pa
