About the Team:
The Asset Management team oversees national property maintenance and asset operations, ensuring compliance, quality, and value for money. Within this group, the Contractor Management team is responsible for procuring, managing, and monitoring DHA’s national contractor panel, ensuring high standards of performance, risk management, and service delivery across all residential maintenance activities.
Start Date: Immediate commencement pending appropriate clearances
Contract Length: 6 months
Hours/Days: 37.5hrs per week, between the core hours of 8AM and 5PM, Monday to Friday (overtime may be required at times)
Pay Rate: $47 - $52 per hour + super
Location: Hybrid work model - Newcastle/Hunter preferred, consideration may be given to other DHA Office Locations
Role Overview
Working as part of a team monitoring the performance of the national contractor panel. Your focus will be on providing contract administration and advice to a national panel of repairs and maintenance contractors and key internal stakeholders. This includes ensuring compliance and driving value for money. You will collaborate with regional offices to assist in resolving contractor escalations and complaints.
You will have the following skills to be successful in this role:
Experience in contract administration.
Experience in contractor relationship management, with the ability to resolve contractor queries and offer online services support.
The ability to communicate information clearly to relevant stakeholders both verbally and in writing.
Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage competing priorities whilst delivering a high level of customer service.
Experience working flexibly within a virtual team environment to meet organisation/team objectives.
The Maintenance Contract Administration Officer has the following key responsibilities:
Undertake interim data analysis to identify trends, mitigate risk and inform decision making.
Effectively resolve contractor queries and escalate performance concerns. This includes discussions with contractors on their contractual obligations.
Effectively monitor contractor compliance on insurance and work health and safety (WHS) obligations in partnership with the WHS team.
Undertake contractor tender activities including gap filling and marketing activities.

Must be an Australian Citizen for Baseline Security Clearance
Must have 2 work related references
