As a Warehouse Trainee, you will complete a Certificate II in Supply Chain Operations, while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a supportive and safety-focused environment. The traineeship will commence in early 2026.
Warehouse Trainees will assist in a variety of tasks to ensure the efficient and safe operation of Council’s warehouse and inventory systems. Duties may include:
You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied. Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, in order to progress through the recruitment process.

This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:

Inventory & Reporting: Deliver monthly and ad hoc stock holding reports, and manage stock codes for EFB products and equipment schedules.
System Data Integrity: Maintain and coordinate MILIS and ERP system data relevant to CAF16 products, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Operational Logistics Tasks: Support Field Services Representatives, conduct MILIS audits, and perform disposal activities for obsolete items.
Process & Risk Management: Execute daily logistics processes including risk, data, and record management, along with codification of new Apple products.
Logistics & Inventory Management: Ability to manage stock holdings, codify equipment, and support disposal activities across Defence systems.
MILIS & ERP System Proficiency: Skilled in maintaining data integrity and navigating Defence logistics platforms like MILIS and emerging ERP systems.
Reporting & Data Analysis: Competent in generating accurate reports, conducting audits, and analysing logistics data to support decision-making.
Stakeholder Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to advise senior managers and collaborate with Field Services Representatives and system stakeholders.
