About the role
We are looking for a Fixed Plant Mechanical Planner to join our Tier 1 Mining Producer on a 12 month ongoing contract. You will be a member of the Maintenance Planning & Engineering team to create and manage executable work orders aligned to the maintenance strategy, asset condition, business and long-term plans and monitor planned vs actual costs.

  • Facilitate cost performance reviews for planner group
  • Escalate any major variance of actual vs plan and identify opportunities to realign spend vs budget
  • Provide input to Superintendent in alignment with quarterly budget planning & reforecasting process
About you
To succeed in this role, you will have: 
  • Current " C Class" WA Drivers License
  • Experience in maintenance planning fixed plant
  • Experience in SAP
  • Have previous planning experience with crushers, chutes & shutdowns
  • Have exposure and understanding to CMMS Maintenance modules

Ventia is seeking qualified and experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) trades personnel to support ongoing Brownfield modifications and new installation scopes for our Technical Projects team at the Gorgon LNG Facility on Barrow Island.

Role Overview

As an Instrumentation Electrician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical and instrumentation systems within a hazardous LNG processing environment. This field-based role involves hands-on technical work, supporting plant reliability through new installations, commissioning, fault diagnosis and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and commission E&I systems in hazardous areas in accordance with EEHA and relevant Australian Standards.

  • Execute isolations and de-isolations for ELV/LV systems in line with site procedures.

  • Conduct EEHA inspections and complete Inspection Test Records (ITRs).

  • Perform leak testing (e.g., nitrogen and snoop tests) and function testing of instrumentation.

  • Install and terminate instrument cables, impulse tubing, and electrical wiring.

  • Gland and terminate cables for transmitters, actuators, and control panels.

  • Install cable trays, brackets, and sunshades as required.

  • Maintain accurate documentation using digital maintenance systems.

  • Collaborate with operations and other trades to ensure safe and reliable plant performance.

  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and testing of electrical and instrumentation equipment.

  • Diagnose and rectify faults in control systems, including PLCs, transmitters, valves, and field devices.

Work Environment

  • Based at the remote Gorgon LNG Facility on Barrow Island.

  • Work is physically demanding and conducted in a challenging environment.

  • All personnel must meet fitness for work requirements as assessed by an Occupational Physician under Safer Together medical guidelines.

Candidate Requirements

  • Recognised Australian Electrical Trade Qualification.

  • Current WA Electrical Licence.

  • EEHA (Hazardous Areas) Certification.

  • CPR/LVR Certification (within 12 months).

  • Construction White Card.

  • Gas Test Atmosphere and Confined Space Entry (within 2 years).

This 6 month contract role will provide oversight of site safety culture, ensure regulatory and drive continuous improvement in HSE performance, and facilitate coordination among contractors, operations, and management to maintain a safe, compliant work environment.

Description

  • Lead, coordinate and deliver HSE inductions for all personnel (offshore and OSS) arriving on the Dampier site
  • Act as the primary on‑site HSE focal point for all safety, health, and environmental matters during module receipt testing offshore
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety walk‑downs to ensure compliance with site procedures, guidelines, legislation, and internal HSE standards
  • Identify hazards, lead risk assessments (JSA / TRA / other), ensure control measures are implemented and monitored
  • Investigate all accidents, incidents, near‑misses and non‑conformances; ensure root‑cause analysis and enforce corrective / preventive actions and lessons learned follow‑through
  • Maintain, review and update HSE documentation (policies, procedures, work permits, safety alerts, manuals) ensuring availability and applicability onsite
  • Monitor and track HSE KPIs and safety trends; produce and present regular reports to management to drive improvement

Profile

  • Proven track record working in offshore environments, ideally in site testing, module handling or similar operations
  • Hands‑on experience with working at height, elevated work platforms, temporary elevated structures, and adherence to applicable regulations
  • Strong investigative skills, able to carry out root cause analysis of accidents/incidents, non‑conformances, and follow up corrective actions
