WHAT WILL YOU DO?
ADRA Australia is seeking an organised Op Shop Manager who will enjoy the opportunity to use their superior administrative skills to work with and support the National Programs team.
Some of the duties include:
Volunteer Management & Community Engagement – Recruit, onboard, and supervise volunteers while fostering a welcoming environment that reflects ADRA’s mission and values. Build positive relationships within the local community.
Operational Oversight & Compliance – Ensure the shop runs smoothly by maintaining presentation standards, managing expenditures within budget, keeping accurate records, and adhering to Safeguarding policies and other ADRA guidelines.
Leadership & Reporting – Provide strong leadership to the team, oversee daily operations, and submit regular reports to ensure transparency, efficiency, and alignment with ADRA’s strategic goals.

Willingness to work within a Christian ethos with conduct that is respectful of the beliefs and practices of the Seventh-day Adventist Church when in the workplace or otherwise representing ADRA Australia.
Leadership & Volunteer Management – Proven ability to recruit, train, and manage volunteers, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Organisational & Administrative Skills – Strong record-keeping, reporting, and financial management skills, ensuring compliance with budgeting and ADRA policies.
Customer Service &Community Engagement – Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with volunteers, customers, donors, of various backgrounds and ages.
Business & Retail Acumen – Experience in retail operations, including shop presentation, stock management, and sales strategies to enhance store performance.
Commitment to ADRA’s Mission & Compliance – Understanding of Workplace Health & Safety (WHS), Safeguarding policies, and ethical retail practices, ensuring alignment with ADRA’s values.
Attention to Detail - Demonstrated ability to accurately manage and maintain records, documents, and processes.
Demonstrated ability to work well in a team, facilitate administrative processes.
Technical Proficiency - Strong skills in data management and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, with the ability to quickly learn, adapt to, and navigate new systems and technologies.
Desirable
Proven ability to contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures that are fit-for-purpose, and compliance with overarching protocols.
Experience with Xero and Salesforce.
Experience in working in the not for profit/NGOs.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team at the Military Shop, Fyshwick! We are on the hunt for a full time team member who can work 38 hours a week, including some work on Saturdays.
The right person will have interests in the military; military history, honours and awards; or outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and adventure.

About the role
Assist the Store Manager with the day-to-day management of the retail store with leading the team, visual merchandising, managing deliveries and stock.
Coach the team to deliver exceptional experiences for our customer to shop seamlessly throughout the store.
Support the Store Manager to achieve budgeted sales and manage controllable costs for the store.
Lead the store and team in absence of a Store Manager on duty.
Support the training of the team in customer service, product knowledge and operational responsibilities.
Encourage development with the team by providing timely feedback.
Regular Sunday work is required for this role.

Passionate and motivated to deliver results and will confidently support your manager and team.
Have great communication skills, strong time management and organisational skills.
Previous team leader, key holder or management experience is advantageous.

About the role
We are seeking a driven and customer-oriented Sales & Technical Assistant with experience in outdoor power garden equipment to join our team at Bendigo Mower Service (BMS), now owned by Hume & Iser Mitre 10 in East Bendigo. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional sales support and technical guidance to our customers, ensuring they receive the best possible experience.
What you'll be doing
Engaging with customers to understand their needs and recommend the most suitable products and solutions
Providing technical advice on small engine machines, spare parts & outdoor power garden equipment to customers on the use and application of our products
Assisting with product demonstrations and showcasing the features and benefits of our range
Maintaining up-to-date product knowledge and staying informed about industry trends and developments
Collaborating with the Mechanics to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales targets
Ensuring the sales floor is well-stocked, organised, and presentable
Performing other administrative tasks as required to support the smooth operation of the store
What we're looking for
Proven experience in small engines, outdoor power garden equipment & spare parts, preferably with a mechanical background.
Strong product knowledge and the ability to quickly learn about new products and their applications
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers and provide clear, helpful advice
A keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain a well-organised and presentable sales environment
Passion for providing exceptional customer service and a drive to exceed customer expectations
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
