You will utilise a range of tools and engineering techniques to maintain and repair mechanical plant machinery, equipment and vehicles to operational standards. You will identify defective and worn mechanical components or equipment, repair or replace any worn or faulty components or equipment and use precision measuring instruments to check parts for accuracy and fit.
What we need from you
The skills, experience and knowledge required for this role includes:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience post completion of HD / LV Mechanic Apprenticeship
Adhere to accident and reporting procedures
A valid HR licence
Current Forklift Licence
A sound knowledge of Komatsu, CAT, Isuzu, Volvo, John Deere, Hitachi Heavy Plant Machinery/trailers & floats
A sound knowledge of Mack & Kenworth Triple Road Trains
Dedication to maintaining high safety standards within the workshop

THE ROLE
Reporting to the Service Manager, the role of the Service & Repairs Technician (Field Based) involves attending to daily service calls at residential / commercial premises, which have been received and booked. Problem analysis and solving of working faults of roller shutters is the primary objective to maintain customer satisfaction. Full induction & on site training will be provided - no experience necessary. Are you coachable? Want to learn something new? Like to be "on the tools" but not in a factory? THIS IS THE ROLE FOR YOU!.
This position is full time and is based out of the Malaga office daily. Hours of work are 6:30am – 2:30pm Monday to Friday. Remuneration is by way of Salary plus super and PAID WEEKLY. A full company uniform is also provided. Any Overtime work is PAID in addition to the salary.
THE RIGHT APPLICANT
Applicants should possess mechanical aptitude and have previous power tool experience. You should be able to work at heights on ladders and/or mobile scaffold (< 4m) in some cases. Applicants should be well presented have excellent work ethic and pride themselves in the quality of their service work. A high level of Customer Service is also required; interaction with our customers is on a daily basis. This is an active role so you should be fit and able to work with weight up to 30kg in some cases. You must be willing and able to pass a Pre-Medical Assessment (paid for by the company).
Applicants should also possess a current open Driver's License; A fully stocked service van with tools would be utilized as part of your duties during work hours. It is NOT a Company Vehicle you take home.

Your Role and Responsibilities:
Public Transport is an essential service and Transdev are committed to providing a safe and reliable bus service to our passengers. As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic at Transdev, you will be responsible for all facets of maintaining our fleet of buses to ensure we can deliver a clean, safe, and comfortable journey to our community. In order to meet roadworthy compliance, your daily focus will be conducting safety checks, trouble shooting and diagnosing repairs as well as preventative maintenance. Previous experience working with Buses is desirable but not mandatory. Training is also provided on Electric mobility fleets via State Led Education program and OEM Training on High Voltage components.
