Lead strategic finance functions in a public-sector delivery environment that shapes Canberra’s future. This executive-level role offers the chance to drive financial leadership and governance across a portfolio of major infrastructure programs.
 
As Chief Finance Officer, you will report to the executive leadership of a government infrastructure agency, advising the Director-General, Deputy Director-General and senior stakeholders on budget planning, financial reporting, compliance and performance. You will lead a skilled finance team, oversee statutory obligations under the Financial Management Act, and guide financial decision-making across the division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver strategic financial advice to executive and ministerial levels
  • Lead the directorate’s budget planning, internal controls and financial performance
  • Oversee reporting, forecasting, cashflow and cost allocations
  • Ensure compliance with government policy, legislation and probity requirements
  • Represent the organisation in whole-of-government financial forums

You Will Bring

What you'll bring:
  • Degree qualified with minimum CA/CPA qualifications.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quarry Operations Manager to join our team at Local Mix Concrete Pty Ltd in Geelong, Victoria. As the Quarry Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our quarry operations, ensuring efficient and compliant production to support our concrete manufacturing business. This is a full-time position based in Geelong.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the quarry, including production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and productivity

  • Monitor and analyse quarry performance metrics to identify areas for improvement

  • Lead and manage a team of quarry operators and support staff

  • Collaborate with the concrete manufacturing team to align operations and meet customer demands
