Our client is an Australian owned travel group with strong brand presence and ongoing growth. They are seeking a Finance Manager to take full ownership of financial reporting and core accounting processes while driving improvements across systems and ways of working. This role is highly hands on with direct accountability for month end, controls, and day to day finance operations alongside leading a small team.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Own month end and year end close with full responsibility for accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare statutory and management reporting while maintaining strong controls
- Improve core finance processes, workflows and reporting structures to lift efficiency and quality
- Provide clear reporting and analysis to support business leaders in operational decision making
- Lead and support a small finance team while remaining directly involved in day to day execution
- Partner closely with the CFO on priorities across controls and reporting
- Assist with planning and analysis activities where required, without owning budgeting
- CA or CPA qualified with strong experience in hands on financial reporting and financial control roles
- Comfortable working at detail level while driving improvements in process and structure
- Experience in travel, consumer, tourism or services environments valued but not essential
- Able to communicate clearly with stakeholders and present financial information in a concise way
- Continuous improvement mindset with a track record of streamlining finance operations
