Emporio Pharmacy is a small independent pharmacy located in the heart of Maroochydore inside the Emporio shopping precinct.  We are looking for a Pharmacist who is reliable, motivated, empathetic and ready to engage with their customers.

This is a Part-time position working Friday 8:30-5:30 and alternate Saturday mornings 9:00-12:00. You will be working alongside experienced dispensary technicians and pharmacy assistants to dispense prescriptions, provide webster packs, counselling of medication and devices, inventory control, among other general pharmacist duties. You are required to hold general registration as a Pharmacist with AHPRA. Start date January 2026.

We require a pharmacist who is happy to work independently and within a team. About the Role:

The Division of Surgery at NCH is responsible for delivering inpatient and outpatients surgical services and includes Surgical Bookings and Pre-Admission Clinic, Anaesthesia, Pain Management Unit, Perioperative Suite, Post-Anaesthetic Care Unit, Day Surgery Unit, Admissions, Endoscopy and specialist surgical ward areas.

The Endoscopy Unit provides planned admitted and outpatient services for gastroenterology patients. The service is designed to provide consumers both outpatients and inpatients with access to gastroenterology services The focus for these services includes early intervention, diagnosis and treatment, education, prevention, assessment, treatment plans, surgical preparation, post-operative care for consumers with colonic and gastric abnormalities performing procedures like gastroscopy and colonoscopy under sedation /general anaesthetics.

Endoscopy Level 2 Nurse is a dynamic and skilled professional responsible for the provision of patient centered evidence-based nursing care for every patient. This dynamic and varied role is responsible for all stages of the patient journey within the department including patient admissions, safe intraprocedural care, recovery and safe and appropriate discharge of the patient.

Our nursing team works within an interdisciplinary healthcare team supported by Perioperative Education Team, and the Clinical Nurse Consultant.

Qualifications & Experience

You will be joining a motivated, caring, loyal and enthusiastic team. The successful candidate will display these values, as well as possess the following qualifications:


  • Certificate 3 in Dental Assisting, prior experience in a dental setting OR currently enrolled in TAFE.

  • Able to provide current immunisation status for practice accreditation purposes

  • Must have a current working with children's check and police clearance certificate

  • Must be either an Australian permanent resident or citizen or have the necessary working visa to apply for this position


Tasks & Responsibilities

You will be confident to use initiative when working independently, and will be multiskilled with chairside and sterilisation duties. Using your experience in dental assisting, your main responsibilities may include:


  • Preparing the clinical bay for patients

  • Assisting our practitioners to provide treatment to patients

  • Sterilising instruments

  • Maintaining the surgery in accordance with the practice infection control policy

  • Providing clinical support to the Senior Nurse as required

  • Scheduling appointments

  • Liaising confidently with new, existing and potential patients and referrers

  • Utilising a computer and dental software.

  • Assisting the front office if and when required – training will be offered
