  • You must be an Australian Citizen, holding a current Australian Government security clearance or be willing and eligible to obtain one.
  • You must have completed formal training in Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems (ISO 19011).
  • Hold certification as a Lead Auditor ISO 9001 (Quality).
  • Proven experience as a Lead Auditor, having personally completed and able to show evidence of conducting up to 10 full audits.
  • Proven ability to plan, execute, and manage a high-impact Internal Audit Program, including process development, strategic annual planning, and efficient management to closure of non-conformances.
  • Demonstrated success in managing External Audit engagements, including scheduling surveillance audits across the 4 HSSEQ standards and taking ownership of closing all audit findings.
  • To be the subject matter expert, providing clear, proactive advice on international standards to empower the business towards best practice adoption.
  • Strong communication skills for producing professional reports and confidently engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join the People and Culture team for a period of up to 6 months. Working 3 to 4 days per week with hours and times open to negotiation.

The Payroll Officer is responsible for processing payroll on a fortnightly basis for approximately 400 employees whilst being the first point of contact for all payroll queries. As well as ensuring legislative compliance, participating in auditing processes and generating regular reports.

About you:

As an expert in payroll processes with experience in a variety of industries, you will have a keen eye for detail and demonstrate an acute understanding that near enough is not good enough.

Additionally, you will need to have the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated experience managing payroll processes for a medium sized business
  • Extensive knowledge and experience across all technical payroll activities, including Australian statutory and compliance-related requirements, month end reporting, year end processing and submission of the WGEA report.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and initiative when faced with complex problems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to form solid professional relationships
  • High level attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Prior experience using Oracle HCM and Ceridian Dayforce will be highly regarded

The Company

We are trusted specialists in managing environmental and heritage considerations for projects of all sizes. Our team provides expert guidance across every stage of development, helping clients navigate complex requirements and achieve successful outcomes.

The Role

This position focuses on managing project invoicing. The successful candidate will interpret project contracts and fee structures, ensure compliance with terms and client requirements, and accurately capture expenses. They will prepare invoices in consultation with Project Managers, monitor WIP, and identify potential overruns to keep projects on track.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue invoices promptly upon project completion or at agreed milestones.
  • Ensure invoices include correct contract references, accurate amounts, and detailed descriptions of services.
  • Confirm invoicing details with clients early in the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate and document any budget changes or variations in writing.
  • Maintain accurate billing terms and invoice records for audit readiness.
  • Provide monthly invoicing reports to Finance and Project Management teams.
  • Assist in reconciling invoicing data with project budgets and forecasts.

Your Profile

You'll thrive in this role if you:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.
  • Proficiency in project accounting systems (or large ERP systems).
  • Excellent communication skills for client and internal coordination.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of contractual terms and financial compliance requirements.
