Responsibilities:

  • Lead month-end close process including preparation of accruals, prepayments, and financial reporting
  • Assist with preparation of budgets and quarterly forecasts
  • Manage and reconcile the balance sheet and fixed assets accounts
  • Prepare for and lead audit activities, ensuring compliance with AASB and IFRS standards
  • Support cash flow management and process improvements
  • Develop and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets and financial projections
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including auditors and legal advisors
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on financial analysis

 

To be successful in this role;

You will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, coupled with the ability to provide clear and easy to understand accounting advice.

You will also have;

  • Proven experience in a senior accounting role
  • A strong background in financial reporting and audit
  • A relevant degree and CPA/CA qualification
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (or similar such as SAP or Oracle)

Key Accountabilities

Resident Billing and Accounts Receivable

• Carrying out routine billing and reporting activities according to specific deadlines

• Perform routine accounts receivable process, including invoicing and collection efforts

• Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders, addressing their needs and concerns proactively

• Ensuring timely adjustments to billing and invoicing processes based on changes in government funding, residents’ status and regulations

• Perform bank and credit card accounts reconciliation on daily basis

• Assist in data submission for grant funding as per manager’s request

  • Proven Aurion payroll experience (system setup, configuration, or troubleshooting)
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation, awards, and employment conditions
  • A methodical approach with excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with both internal teams and external providers

Salary / Rate
  • $60/hr - $70/hr + Super
  • 3-month labour hire contract

  • Must have strong Aurion experience
