As a Drillers Offsider you will be supporting the driller with general operations duties:

  • Rod handling

  • Rig maintenance

  • Bagging samples

  • Cleaning equipment

  • Providing support to drilling operations

  • Mobilisation and demobilisation of drill rigs from sites

To be successful in the role;  

  • Reside in Perth WA, as this role is FIFO from Perth Airport. 

  • Must be available for Immediate START!

  • Previous experience in aphysically demanding position, and being able to lift up to 40kgs.

  • HR-B Drivers License for surface roles

  • Willing to work on a 2:1, 3:1 or 4:2 roster on various projects across WA

  • Current National Police Clearance - Within 6 months

  • First Aid Certificate

  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive re-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen

About The Opportunity:

Caterpillar’s MineStar Solutions Division is currently seeking a Product Service Consultant to support MineStar Terrain Onboard technologies to be located in Brisbane, QLDAs Product Service Consultant, you will have a significant impact on overall product quality and customer experience for MineStar Terrain Onboard technologies. This role will provide support and service engineering services which include product validation, investigating, troubleshooting, diagnosing application and technical problems.   • Mining Technology (MineStar) hardware and software issue identification and resolution for dealers and customers.

  • Implementation and utilisation of standard support processes to respond, restore, and resolve issues.

  • Advocate on behalf of the dealer and customer to resolve technical product issues with product development engineering.

  • Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.

  • Report issues within the CPI (product defect) process to assure proper resolution to ongoing issues.

About the multiple roles available:

We have multiple vacancies for Trainee Blast Truck Operators across open-cut and underground mine sites in Western Australia. Roles are available for candidates living close to site, or 'Drive In Drive Out' for candidates living within a safe driving distance to our Kalgoorlie operations. Rosters are generally 8 days on, 6 days off.

What you will be doing:

  • When successfully trained, operate Orica's advanced blasting vehicles such as Mobile Manufacturing Units (MMU) or Mobile Charging Units (MCU).

  • Work shoulder to shoulder with a skilled blasting team, helping deliver explosive products safely into pre-drilled blast holes on open-cut or underground mine sites.

  • At times, provide hands-on support and physical labour as part of the blasting team.

  • Learn to operate Orica's other plant and equipment used in the blasting process.

What you will bring:

Overview of role:

Our Reservoir Officer works as part of the Headworks team which is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of Coliban Waters reservoirs and their associated infrastructure and catchments. The role is primarily based at Lauriston Reservoir but works across the Coliban Water region at various other sites.

Barkers Creek, Lauriston, Malmsbury and Upper Coliban reservoirs provide opportunities for public recreation, including on-water recreation. These public spaces are well maintained and a source of pride for the team and broader organisation.

The Reservoir Officer includes duties to monitor the Coliban Water recreational facilities by ensuring all activities occurring on Coliban Water owned land and water storages are appropriate and comply with company policies, relevant by-laws, regulations and legislation. 

A snapshot of your day

As our Reservoir Officer, you’ll be accountable for:

  • Undertaking dam safety visual inspections on reservoirs to collect accurate data
  • Assisting the team to help deliver various small projects and maintenance tasks
  • Supervise contractors as directed by the Reservoir Controller
  • Conduct patrols and surveillance on Coliban Water owned land and water storages to ensure polices, by-laws, regulations and legislation are being adhered to

To be considered for the role, applicants should ideally have the following qualifications and experience, however on the job training can be provided for the right candidate:

  • Water Industry Certificate II or a similar qualification or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience with mechanical equipment, concreting, corrosion protection, welding, environmental management, and weed spraying
  • An understanding of the Victoria water industry

Salary

The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 2 ($62,475 - $72,897 plus super) salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.

About the role

You'll join a large energy developer as the Commissioning Engineer, providing on-site oversight and technical assurance during the commissioning phase of a grid-scale battery project. The role focuses on ensuring the EPC contractor meets their obligations, identifying risks early, and representing the client's interests on site.

This position reports to the commissioning lead functionally and to the on-site project management team day-to-day. You'll work across engineering, commissioning, and delivery teams to support project readiness and ensure the commissioning program is executed safely and effectively. The role is offered on a 12-month contract to align with project milestones.

Duties
  • Maintain on-site presence to oversee contractor commissioning activities

  • Provide technical guidance and verify the contractor is meeting contractual and quality requirements

  • Monitor progress, escalate risks, and support de-risking strategies for the client

  • Coordinate with commissioning and project management teams to ensure accurate reporting and timely issue resolution

  • Review commissioning documentation, test plans, schedules, and progress reports

  • Act as the client representative on site, maintaining strong communication with all stakeholders

  • Support readiness reviews, functional testing oversight, and site acceptance processes

Skills & experience
  • Electrical background strongly preferred (trade or engineering)

  • Experience in battery storage, solar, substations, or HV commissioning

  • Solid understanding of commissioning processes and contractor oversight

  • Ability to independently manage site interfaces and identify risks early

  • Previous experience in EPC delivery environments highly valued

  • Battery storage experience beneficial but not essential-renewables or HV experience also suitable

This position is seeking for a highly motivated and disciplined Open Pit Mine Geologist to coordinate the day to day grade control duties across multiple pits. 

About Norton Gold Fields

Norton Gold Fields is one of Australia’s largest domestic gold producers, with recent annual production of up to 200,000 ounces. The Company has a mining and processing complex in Western Australia’s world-class Kalgoorlie goldfield region, including a highly prospective tenement package of more than 1,000km² surrounding the 3.8Mtpa Paddington Mill. 

In 2020, Norton invested in a new Binduli low-grade project 30km south-west of Norton’s Paddington Mill, intending to boost the production and extend the life of mine for more years to come. Norton strategy would see the mining of refractory ore sources for treatment at the Paddington Mill.  The plans also include the building a new operation centre to support its low-grade mining and ore treatment facilities, which is about 30-km south-west of Norton’s Paddington Mill.  This two-pronged strategy would create about 220 jobs from next year.  

Duties

  • Undertake production duties to facilitate the optimal production and extraction of gold ore from the surface mining operations. This includes interaction with the geological team to ensure the accurate sampling, interpretation, communication, and documentation of geological and mining data in the dynamic mining environment.

  • Complete the timely and accurate collection of geological information to optimise metal extraction.

  • Manage all mediums of geological data to enable accurate integration into the mine planning process to optimise metal extraction and extend the life of the mine.

  • Undertake Project Work as defined by the Senior Mine Geologist, to enable the geology and Open Pit team to meet its KPI's.

  • Ensure that daily ore production data is accurately reported on time.

  • Assist in weekly production planning.

  • Ensure that open pit mapping is accurate and up to date.

  • Ensure production crews are optimally extracting ore to minimise dilution and ore loss. 

  • Supervise OP grade control drilling and assist Pit-Technicians when required with hole delineation and sample collection. 

  • Ensure proper and accurate creation of ore blocks before blasting and demarcation of ore after blasting.

  • Liaise with Engineers and Blast Supervisors to determine optimal blasting direction to minimise ore dilution. 

Skills and Experience 

  • Relevant tertiary degree in Geology

  • Registered member of a professional geoscience organisation.

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in production mining (preferably gold)

  • Experience with laser mark ups

  • Exposure to 3D Mining Software (Surpac or similar)

  • Experience with production tracking software

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Current unrestricted WA C class licence
