About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent (on a 4:3 roster) to oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects within a successful indigenous Joint Venture mining and civil earthworks operations. This role will require a strong focus on project planning, resource management, cost control, and compliance, while ensuring high standards of safety and operational excellence. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and maintain clear lines of accountabilities of the project site team. Principles of supervision, training, performance evaluation and professional development
Oversee project execution, asset deployment, and resource utilisation while maintaining schedules and reporting via daily project meetings.
Maintain strong communication with internal teams and clients, ensuring projects meet scope, cost, and timeline expectations. Utilise project management software for tracking.
Manage staffing, rosters, subcontractors, and site-specific HR/IR functions.
Lead mobilisation, execution, and demobilisation of works.
Manage contracts, progress claims, variations, and invoicing while mitigating scope creep.
Support HSET and Quality teams in process improvements, audits, and compliance.
Essential Criteria:
Statutory Schedule 26 or currently in process of completing this qualification.
Tertiary qualification in Engineering/ Project Management or extensive experience managing mining and civil earthworks projects.
Proven ability to develop and execute project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring successful delivery within scope, cost, and timeline constraints.
Strong experience in asset deployment, resource allocation, and workforce planning, with the ability to optimise efficiency and productivity.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and senior management.
Experience managing contracts, progress claims, cost control, and invoicing, with a strong understanding of commercial strategies and risk mitigation.

Brooks Mechanical is looking for an experienced and safety-focused High Voltage Auto Electrician to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll take the lead on installing, maintaining, and repairing high-voltage equipment across our projects, ensuring reliability and safety in some of WA’s toughest environments. You’ll bring your trade qualifications, HV switching expertise, and mine site experience to a role where no two days are the same.
What You’ll Be Doing
Diagnosing and repairing electrical system faults on heavy mobile equipment.
Servicing and maintaining equipment like electric drive trucks, excavators, and loaders.
Installing new wiring and high-voltage components.
Conducting field diagnostics and breakdown repairs.
Ensuring all work is completed safely and to Australian compliance standards.
Liaising with other teams to minimise equipment downtime.
Air conditioning diagnostic and repairs.
Undertake other reasonable tasks and duties as directed by your Workshop Foreman/Supervisor.
What You’ll Bring
Hold a valid, recognised Electrical Trade Certificate (essential).
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
Proven diagnostic and fault-finding skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues
Hold a current ‘A’ Grade Electrical License (Essential)
High Voltage (HV) Switching ticket. Highly desirable for this specialised role.
Hold a valid A/C Refrigerant Licence with extensive diagnostic experience.
Experience with earthmoving equipment and/or specific brands such as CAT, Komatsu, or Liebherr and XCMG, is highly valued.
Current valid C-class driver’s licence (HR, LF and HC desirable)
Ability to work independently in remote and challenging conditions

Strong attention to detail and fault-finding skills are crucial in ensuring optimal conditions for our fleet and client's equipment, with minimal downtime. Time management, pride in your work, and prioritizing safety are essential for success. You must also be comfortable following both our safety procedures and those of our clients and their operational sites.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Completion of a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Trade Certificate or equivalent.
- Ability to undergo pre-employment medical checks and ongoing Alcohol and Other Drug assessments.
- Proficiency in computer use.
- Well-equipped with a personal tool kit.
- Valid WA MR class driver's license.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in remote locations.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical fault-finding would greatly benefit you in this role.
- Electronic engine control experience, specifically ECM and CAN-BUS.

What We're Looking For – Essential Requirements:
✅ Trade Qualified – Minimum Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical or Fabrication)
Solid Industry Experience – At least 2 years of hands-on experience in fixed plant maintenance
Crusher & Screen Expertise – Proven experience working on:
• Metso MP1000 Secondary Crushers
• Gyratory Crushers
• Vibrating Screens
Safety First – White Card, plus current Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets
Gas Testing Competency – Valid certification required
Strong Communicator – Clear and confident communication with a team-oriented mindset
Full Work Rights – Must have unrestricted rights to work in Australia
Highly Regarded – Not Essential, but Great to Have:

What You’ll Be Doing
As a key member of our shutdown team, your responsibilities will include:
Performing mechanical rigging activities on fixed plant maintenance and shutdown projects
Lifting, moving, and installing structural steel, piping, and mechanical components
Conducting equipment inspections, tagging, and safety checks
Assisting with dual crane lifts and equipment assembly where required
Interpreting technical drawings and lift plans
