About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Service Advisor/Salesperson to join our Newcastle store. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers, providing expert guidance on vehicle servicing, repairs, and maintenance. You’ll work closely with the workshop team to ensure every customer enjoys a seamless experience and peace of mind driving.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service both in-store and over the phone

• Actively promote and upsell automotive products and services, including tyres, servicing packages, and vehicle maintenance solutions

• Manage service bookings and keep customers updated throughout the day

• Liaise with the workshop team to coordinate repairs and maintenance

• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships

• Process payments and maintain accurate sales, receipts, and stock records

• Communicate professionally with suppliers and external partners

• Motivate and support team members to ensure smooth operations

• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards

About You

• Previous experience in automotive service or dealership sales roles essential

• Mechanical knowledge or light vehicle mechanics qualification (desirable)

• Strong sales and customer service skills, with a focus on recommending solutions that meet customer needs

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

• Current Australian driver’s licence

• Available to work Saturdays

Job tasks and responsibilities

In this role you will be required to assist with a variety of duties including but not limited to:

• Asbestos Removal both A & B Class

• Use power tools and hand tools to strip out walls, ceiling, flooring, fittings etc

• Operate equipment and work safely in accordance with safety procedures

• Move and load waste material into trucks and/or bins

• Ability to turn up on time

Skills and experience

To be successful in securing a position with Zero Asbestos you must fit the following criteria:

• A current construction industry white card

• Able to pass a drug screening

• Must have a 'Can Do' positive attitude

• Ability to work to specific instructions

• Be able to work at a fast pace and in a team environment

• Have own boots (all other PPE will be provided)

• You may have your MR licence

• You may have an asbestos removal licence

• Conduct independent quality inspections and audits on completed installation works, ensuring works are completed to approved standards and documentation.
• Review mechanical, electrical and functional elements of completed works, verifying compliance with design and installation specifications.
• Identify, document and report any issues or safety concerns to the relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain detailed inspection records and audit reports, ensuring traceability and compliance with quality management requirements.
• Ensure all works meet relevant electrical and mechanical standards while maintaining compliance with site access and induction requirements.

• Electrical trade qualification or relevant engineering background (A Grade licence beneficial but not essential)
• Strong understanding of quality assurance and compliance processes
• Knowledge of electrical installations, commissioning and verification practices
• Current driver’s licence with own car to drive to sites as required
• Ability to obtain required site inductions (training provided if needed)

CLEANERS WANTED – HOLIDAY RENTAL PROPERTIES

We’re expanding and looking for experienced cleaners to join our team as third-party contractors for ongoing work.
