About the Role

The machine washer/ yard duties will be responsible for keeping Kelton’s earthmoving equipment, trucks, and trailers clean & ready for rental. This role combines washing & detailing with practical, hands-on tasks, ensuring the fleet is kept clean & presentable.

Key Responsibilities:

● Checking in Machines on return rentals

● Assisting clients collecting or returning equipment

● Preparing equipment for rental, including pressure washing and detailing.

● Maintenance and small repairs.

● Keeping yard tidy & clean, machines pared neatly

● Working independently to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards

No skills required training provided ( machine operation would be an advantage )

Working Conditions

● Standard hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am–4:00 pm.

● Flexibility for weekend shifts, adjusted hours, and after-hours work as needed.

Your new role as a workshop Boilermaker will report to the Workshop Supervisor in a permanent full time residential position based in Kalgoorlie.

The Boilermaker is responsible for carrying out scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs to Caterpillar fleets, completion of service reports, identifying parts requirements whilst maintaining safe work practices and a safe work environment.

This WesTrac branch is in Kalgoorlie WA and is an authorised Caterpillar dealership where you can find a wide range of Cat products, parts, services and technologies. Our Kalgoorlie team provide Cat machinery solutions to suit any earthmoving business, including both new and used equipment sales, heavy equipment rental, as well as parts, servicing, and merchandise.

Location: Kalgoorlie - must be residential or willing to relocate with own housing

Roster: 8 days on, 6 off - 10.5 hrs each day (inc. of 30 minutes meal break)

What You'll Do:
• Fabricate and repair structural steel and equipment components in line with customers and Westrac's
specification.
• Read and interpret schematics and specifications accurately, source technical information through
reference manuals, technical bulletins and internal based systems.
• Manage and advise appropriate tooling fit for service.
• Maintain and set clean and safe working environment.
• Be a dynamic team player with a high commitment to working safety.
• Liaise with various site/local clients on their requirements in an effective manner

Skills & Experience:
• Australian recognised Boilermaker or Fabrication Trade Certificate (essential)
• Heavy-Rigid Licence (essential)
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG and Arc welding techniques
• Experience working on large mining machinery or heavy fabrication.

Leeton Shire Council is seeking a motivated and skilled Arborist to join our Open Space and Recreation Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the natural beauty of our community's parks, reserves, and streetscapes.

The primary purpose of the position is to provide arboriculture services, including but not limited to leading the development and scheduling of annual tree planting and tree maintenance programs as directed by Open Space and Recreation management.

Duties: Specific duties are detailed in the Operations section of the position description, including but not limited to:

• Leading the development and scheduling of Council's annual tree planting and tree maintenance programs

• Undertaking tree inspections, risk assessments, pruning, removals, and other arboriculture works

• Providing expert advice on tree health, management, and planning matters

About You
We are looking for a team-oriented professional with experience in arboriculture, tree management, and open space maintenance. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications: Cert 3 in Arboriculture or equivalent and/or Horticulture with at least 3 years experience. A Class MR driver licence is also required.

This position is Full Time– 38 hours per week with a fortnightly Rostered Day Off.

Salary: Grade 7 in Council's salary system ($1,201.90 to $1,339.40 per week) depending upon qualifications and experience, plus 12% Superannuation.

Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
