We’re seeking a Financial Commercial Analyst to join our Defence team, providing analytical and commercial finance support across complex and high-impact operations. Working closely with the Commercial Business Partner and General Manager of Operations, you’ll play a key role in supporting decision-making, optimising performance, and driving commercial improvement initiatives across our Defence contracts.

About the Role

In this pivotal role, you will:

• Partner with senior leaders to provide financial and commercial analysis across the Defence portfolio.
• Support mobilisation activities, contract reviews, and commercial negotiations.
• Deliver clear insights to Operations on financial performance, cost efficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Lead the management and execution of contract change proposals.
• Challenge existing business models and identify opportunities for efficiency
• Build and enhance reporting tools that enable the Operations team to manage and track financial performance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives within the broader Commercial team.

About You

You’re a commercially savvy analyst who thrives on providing meaningful insight and enjoys working at the intersection of operations and finance. You’ll bring:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial finance or analytical roles.
• Strong financial modelling and commercial review skills.
• Degree qualifications (and/or progress toward CA/CPA).
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint capability (Power BI or Anaplan experience desirable).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A proactive, curious mindset with the ability to challenge and drive improvement.
