About the role

This position is responsible for the administration and implementation of the construction contracts for Manningham. This is achieved through tendering, assessment and selection of suitable contractors then and on-going project management to safely build works to meet the design and ultimately the needs of the community. Often, you'll be required to think on your feet and adapt to changing conditions- be that weather, politics or soil, amongst others, to ensure works get delivered to a high standard.

Skills and experience

  • Equivalent of a Degree in Engineering or Construction management (with the ability to be registered as an Engineer, highly favoured) with a minimum five years' experience in construction supervision of civil projects.
  • A professional with the ability to design, review and manage the design of civil projects.
  • A project delivery professional who can effectively and economically plan, implement, and supervise civil projects to ensure compliance with the contract, Council requirements, industry standards and legislative requirements.
  • A specialist who engages in an environment of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • A problem solver, able to resolve complex operational and service delivery issues to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experienced in the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or Civil Site Design for the design/review of roads, drains and traffic improvement works is an advantage (but not essential).
  • Experience and understanding of environmentally sustainable design is desirable
  • Driver's Licence valid in Victoria

It operates multiple biogas facilities and helps lower greenhouse gases while supplying reliable renewable power. They are now looking for a Control Systems Engineer for either of their offices in Brisbane or Adelaide.

Job Description:

A great opportunity to join a busy team that is in Queensland and South Australia. This position will include designing, developing, and maintaining control systems while supervising junior engineers and coordinating contractors. The role requires independent work, leadership, and occasional after-hours support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and maintain control systems using Allen-Bradley CompactLogix, Citect SCADA, and other platforms (Siemens S7, Horner, Red Lion)
  • Work with additional SCADA systems (Ignition, AVEVA GeoSCADA, Honeywell Experion)
  • Prepare technical documents: specifications, control philosophies, I/O lists, P&IDs, reports, manuals
  • Provide technical support, including after-hours troubleshooting when rostered
  • Ensure compliance with standards, WHS requirements, and risk processes (risk assessments, HAZOPs)
  • Supervise junior engineers and oversee contractors during installation and commissioning
  • Manage project schedules, costs, and stakeholder communication.

About the Role
 
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Project Engineer - Stringing to take a leadership role in delivering critical transmission works on the HumeLink East project. This position will oversee the end-to-end planning and execution of stringing operations for 500kV transmission lines, ensuring technical excellence, safety compliance, and timely delivery.
You will act as a key interface between site teams, subcontractors, and project leadership, driving performance, resolving challenges, and ensuring all works meet stringent engineering and quality standards.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage stringing activities for 500kV transmission lines from planning through execution.
  • Validate and approve engineering documentation, drawings, and inspection plans.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of resources and services.
  • Champion quality assurance and compliance, including audits, NCR resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain comprehensive project records and reporting for senior management.
  • Drive safety culture and environmental compliance across all site operations.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and site personnel to build capability within the team.
Desirable
 
We're seeking a skilled and qualified Senior Project Engineer - Stringing who is eligible to work in Australia. Ideal candidates will possess:
  • Degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
  • 7-10 years' experience in transmission line construction, with proven leadership on 330kV or 500kV projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of stringing techniques, HV safety standards, and Australian regulatory requirements.
  • Strong understanding of Transgrid specifications and WHS legislation.
  • Advanced proficiency in project management tools and reporting systems.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • White Card and valid driver's license (MR or HR preferred).
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment comprehensive medical assessment and national police clearance (arranged by the company), including routine on-site drug and alcohol screening.

The Role

Manuplex Pty Ltd is currently seeking a motivated and experienced, Mechanical Draftsperson & Estimator to join our team at our fabrication workshop in Rockhampton. The applicant will preferably be based in Rockhampton.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Cert III in Engineering and Drafting

  • Proficient with technical drawing programs and 3D modelling (e.g., inventor 2020 or AutoCAD)

  • Relevant mechanical design drafting experience in a workshop environment, inc. structural steel weldments and sheet metal development

  • Familiarisation with relevant Australian Standards including Structural Steel, Handrails & Access platforms

Design draftsmen with a trade background or other tertiary qualification in industrial design are also encouraged to apply

Skills

  • Ability to build and maintain client relations

  • Strong estimation skills for all facets of steel work such as mining, civil & structural steel works

  • Flexibility to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required

  • Ability to think creatively and engineer solutions for any problem that may arise in day-to-day operations

  • Drive to succeed and improve on current process and product lines

  • General knowledge of the fabrication and welding process

  • Able to multi-task on different projects at once
