Key Responsibilities

As Project Engineer, you will play a central role in supporting project delivery across civil remediation, demolition, and environmental works. Your responsibilities will include:

Project Planning & Coordination

  • Assist in developing detailed project plans, schedules, and resource forecasts.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure scope, budget, and program objectives are achieved.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain alignment across all works.

Technical Engineering Support

  • Provide engineering input into methodologies, temporary works, sequencing, and construction techniques.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure constructability and compliance.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, work packs, and ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans).

Cost & Commercial Management

  • Monitor and track project costs, budgets, and forecasts.

Quality & Compliance

Stakeholder & Team Engagement

Reporting & Progress Tracking

  • Provide regular updates on project progress, performance, and risks.

Required 

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in civil remediation, demolition, or heavy industrial projects.

  • Valid driver’s licence and ability to work FIFO.

An established engineering and electrical contracting business is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of industrial, electrical, and infrastructure projects. This company designs, manufactures, installs, and maintains electrical systems and custom switchboard solutions for clients across mining, agriculture, utilities, and manufacturing.
This role suits a hands-on PM who enjoys working across technical, site-based, and client-facing responsibilities. A company vehicle is included.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from concept through to commissioning, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Coordinate design, manufacturing, installation, and site teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Oversee procurement, subcontractor engagement, scheduling, and documentation.
  • Act as primary client contact, providing updates, resolving issues, and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Conduct site visits across NSW and interstate as required.
  • Ensure all electrical, HV, and industrial installations meet relevant standards and regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project delivery, process, and safety culture.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience managing electrical, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Background in electrical contracting, switchboard manufacturing, systems integration, or industrial services is highly valued.
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams across workshop and site environments.
  • Strong commercial understanding, budget management, and project reporting capability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Electrical trade, engineering qualification, or relevant industry certification (preferred but not essential).
  • Current driver’s licence.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager or Senior Advisor to lead the delivery of new corporate facilities as well as the refurbishment and enhancement of existing sites. This role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end project management, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and within approved budgets and timelines.

The succesfull candidate will lead the planning, design, and execution of facilities projects, working closely with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and contractors. This position requires strong technical expertise, commercial acumen, and the ability to balance project demands while ensuring compliance with organisational and legislative requirements.

  • Manage design, construction, refurbishment, and upgrade projects across corporate facilities.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to define project requirements and ensure alignment with organisational needs.

  • Oversee external contractors and consultants to ensure efficient, high-quality delivery.

  • Prepare capital submissions, financial estimates, project schedules, and resource plans.

  • Develop design briefs, specifications, and tender documentation to support procurement processes.

  • Monitor project progress to ensure delivery within scope, budget, timelines, and quality standards.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, building codes, corporate policies, and ethical standards.

  • Drive continual improvement across project management processes and documentation.

Profile

  • Substantial experience in project management within construction, facilities, or property environments.

  • Demonstrated capability in managing consultants and contractors on complex, large-scale projects.

  • Strong background in facility management, commercial fit-outs, and building operations.

  • Detailed knowledge of building codes, Australian Standards, and OSH requirements.

  • High-level computer proficiency, including project management and design-related software.

  • Proven ability to produce accurate budgets, manage timelines, and deliver projects successfully.
