The Speech Pathologist Senior delivers direct high level speech pathology services to patients of the Rockhampton Hospital and other client groups of Central Queensland Health. The Speech Pathologist Senior is required to provide clinical leadership and act as a resource person through delivering clinical supervision, leading quality improvement, research, clinical service development and representation on relevant committees and portfolios aligned with Speech Pathology, Central Queensland Health and Queensland Health initiatives and strategic directions.

About you:
  • The successful applicant must possess a tertiary degree in Speech Pathology and provide eligibility for practicing membership to Speech Pathology Australia.

Statewide Rehabilitation Services (SRS) is a statewide program that provides young people in custody and the community with developmentally targeted and multi-systemic offence-specific and offence-related assessments and interventions. As a statewide model, SRS aims to provide continuity of care to young people as they move from custody into the community

 

The Opportunity

  • Fixed term, full-time position until 30th June 2027 based in Melbourne.

  • VPS Grade 6.2 role: $162,077 - $185,518 per year plus superannuation.

  • Oversee a multi-disciplinary leadership team to establish and monitor robust clinical governance, performance and evaluation frameworks, and training and development for staff that supports ongoing delivery and service improvement of the Statewide Rehabilitation Service.

  • Oversee the design and implementation of new monitoring and reporting systems and processes that allow critical analysis of performance and outcome data, service evaluation and enable identification of trends to inform continuous improvement and service design.

  • Support the delivery of rehabilitation services across the State in collaboration with Senior Managers of SRS Community, and Rehabilitation and Outcomes at each custodial precinct.

  • Oversee the development of resources to support adherence to the Child Safe Standards, including through procedures, training and including voice of young people and families in service evaluation.

  • Support workforce capability and uplift through the management of delivery of clinical induction and training, and ongoing clinical professional development.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • High level of subject matter knowledge or expertise in forensic clinical interventions or related areas such as criminology, psychology, social work, mental health or youth work.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and effectively managing a team of professionals to deliver services within a complex service system.

  • A full driver’s licence is required.

About the Role

This role is responsible for undertaking multiple waste collection, acceptance, disposal and recycling duties within different operational areas This includes:

  • Transfer area
  • Weighbridge/Gatehouse
  • Buy-Back Centre
  • Garden Organics and Bulky Waste pick-up
  • Street and Park litter bin pick-ups
  • Collection of waste and recycling from other Council facilities

Within these areas you will be required to:

  • Perform recycling operations in several ways from manual separation, to using
  • mobile plant, to high tech fixed plant and sorting equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and Council's policies and
  • Participate in morning and afternoon briefs, identifying any safety related
  • issues or operational improvements that can be implemented.

A monthly roster will be implemented to support the business requirements, which operates seven days a week.

About You

To be successful in the position, you will have:

  • Certificate 2 in Waste Management, Civil Construction, or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in a waste management or civil construction or
  • maintenance environment
  • Class MR Driver's Licence or willing to obtain as soon as practical
  • NSW General Induction Construction card (white card) or willing to obtain
  • Proof of your Right to Work in Australia

About the Role:

The Division of Surgery at NCH is responsible for delivering inpatient and outpatients surgical services and includes Surgical Bookings and Pre-Admission Clinic, Anaesthesia, Pain Management Unit, Perioperative Suite, Post-Anaesthetic Care Unit, Day Surgery Unit, Admissions, Endoscopy and specialist surgical ward areas.

The Endoscopy Unit provides planned admitted and outpatient services for gastroenterology patients. The service is designed to provide consumers both outpatients and inpatients with access to gastroenterology services The focus for these services includes early intervention, diagnosis and treatment, education, prevention, assessment, treatment plans, surgical preparation, post-operative care for consumers with colonic and gastric abnormalities performing procedures like gastroscopy and colonoscopy under sedation /general anaesthetics.

Endoscopy Level 2 Nurse is a dynamic and skilled professional responsible for the provision of patient centered evidence-based nursing care for every patient. This dynamic and varied role is responsible for all stages of the patient journey within the department including patient admissions, safe intraprocedural care, recovery and safe and appropriate discharge of the patient.

Our nursing team works within an interdisciplinary healthcare team supported by Perioperative Education Team, and the Clinical Nurse Consultant.

Registered Nurse Level 2 - Endoscopy

  • Great opportunity to join Youth Justice on a fixed-term basis in Melbourne.

  • Undertake analysis and provide authoritative advice on complex clinical and operational issues relating to the statewide clinical and rehabilitation services for young people.

  • Contribute to implementing critical reforms to be introduced in the Youth Justice Bill that will enable children and young people to participate in treatment and rehabilitation programs while on bail or remand, without prejudicing their trial.

The Department of Justice and Community Safety (department) is responsible for the statutory supervision of young people in the criminal justice system in Victoria focusing on prevention, diversion, and early intervention as the most effective and fiscally responsible ways of reducing youth crime. As an area within the department, Youth Justice is committed to the demonstration of the Victorian Public Sector values.

Statewide Rehabilitation Services (SRS) is a statewide program that provides young people in custody and the community with developmentally targeted and multi-systemic offence-specific and offence related assessments and interventions.

 

The Opportunity

  • Fixed term, full-time position until June 30th 2027 based in Melbourne.

  • VPS Grade 5.2 role: $124,888 - $136,747 per year plus superannuation.

  • Support the development, implementation and monitoring of clinical assessments, frameworks, policies and procedures relating to the delivery of criminogenic and non-criminogenic interventions for young people in Youth Justice who are on bail and remand.

  • Drive quality assurance practices and support evaluation of service delivery, maintaining clinical integrity and evidenced-based approaches for the target cohorts

  • Manage and deliver time limited projects relating to specific policy or program issues related to the rehabilitation services, with a focus on young people on the SRS Waitlist, on bail and remand.

  • Ensure interventions and services are integrated with other service delivery requirements, are responsive to specific groups, and are tailored to the complexity of their environments.

  • Facilitate ongoing clinical service and quality improvements around programs and services of rehabilitation services to ensure ongoing alignment with service standards and evidence based best practice.

To be successful in this role you will have:

 

  • Experience in the development of policy advice and/or delivery of clinical programs and services within correctional and/or complex health systems. Understanding of the key issues impacting on clinical service delivery for young people, including understanding of best practice young offender rehabilitation principles.

  • Ability to identify policy and program needs including understanding risk management principles.

  • Experience in offender rehabilitation or forensic allied health is required.

  • General registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency

  • (AHPRA); or

  • Current membership with the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW); or

  • Credentialed as a Mental Health Nurse with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses; or

  • Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.

You will be required to obtain a Working with Children Check, which you will need to maintain for the period of employment.
