The counsellor’s role is to support and strengthen family relationships, prevent breakdown, enhance children and young people’s wellbeing and mental health, assist couples and families to manage issues arising from relationships, including family violence, and support children after parental separation.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated dental hygienist / oral health therapist to join our friendly and professional team.

Our modern, fully equipped 3-room practice is committed to delivering exceptional patient care with a strong focus on prevention and long term oral health.

The role is for a minimum of 2.5 days / week, working with a dental assistant, in a modern state of the art facility, and supported by a cohesive team of experienced clinicians and admin staff.

You will be an integral member of our dental team, providing high quality preventive and periodontal care and collaborating closely with our clinicians to provide exceptional patient-centred care.


What you'll be doing

  • Performing comprehensive hygiene assessments and periodontal treatment

  • Providing preventive care and patient-specific OHI

  • Taking radiographs within your scope

  • Providing in chair whitening treatments

  • Collaborating with the entire clinical and administrative team team to provide a comprehensive, well informed and seamless patient experience

  • Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records

  • Communicating with patients professionally, compassionately, and confidently

  • Contributing to a positive, collaborative, and inspiring practice culture

  • Staying up-to-date with new dental techniques, materials, and equipment


What we're looking for

  • Dental hygienist / Oral health therapist with minimum of 2 years experience

  • Strong knowledge and passion for preventive oral health care

  • Confidence in providing periodontal treatment planning, periodontal treatment and ongoing management

  • Competency in using Guided Biofilm Therapy (Airflow) - experience preferred but training can be provided

  • Gentle clinician with patient-centred focus

  • High infection control standards

  • Organised, reliable, and strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and team members

  • A team player with a positive, compassionate, and professional approach seeking a long-term role

  • Familiarity & proficiency with modern dental software (D4W) and digital imaging systems, with a willingness to learn new systems

  • Unrestricted AHPRA registration & professional indemnity

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Lead – Exercise Physiology to join our dynamic team in Cairns, Brisbane or Sargood on Collaroy. This is a unique opportunity to shape clinical excellence while working in supportive, forward-thinking environments.
  
In this leadership role, you will:
  • Provide clinical oversight and mentorship to exercise physiologists.
  • Lead the design and delivery of evidence-based exercise interventions for clients with diverse health needs, including neurological, musculoskeletal, and chronic conditions.
  • Drive innovation in service delivery, ensuring best practice standards and client-centred care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance rehabilitation outcomes and promote holistic wellbeing.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, quality improvement initiatives, and staff development.
  

About You
You are a motivated and compassionate leader who thrives in multidisciplinary settings.

 Essential Qualifications & Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology (minimum Bachelor’s degree).
  • Current accreditation with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist.
  • Minimum 5 years’ clinical experience, including demonstrated leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Proven experience working with clients across neurological, musculoskeletal, and chronic health conditions.
  • Proven experience leading, mentoring and motivating a team 
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills  
  • Strong commitment and professionalism to customer centred care  
  • Highly motivated and a positive attitude 
  • Current Australian driver’s license 
  • Full working rights in Australia.

Our Dental Care at Carine practice is a part of our ever-growing Bupa network of dental, optical and health insurance practices and stores! 
Dental Care at Carine is well known for its, implants and general dentistry. We are a solid, stable team looking for an experienced Dental Assistant as we prepare for a significant growth in customer volumes. Team dynamic is incredibly important to us in our 7-chair practice.
