Key Strategic Focus Areas:

  • System Ownership: Take the reins on our rostering system, ensuring optimal configuration, data integrity (to Payroll/HRIS systems), and continuous improvement.
  • Data-Driven Leadership: Leverage advanced analytics (Power BI/Tableau) and demand forecasting to strategically inform resource allocation, reduce agency reliance, and achieve crucial cost optimisation.
  • Compliance & Governance: Design and embed strategic rostering frameworks that guarantee compliance with Awards, EAs, and legislation across multiple states.
  • Process Uplift: Lead high-impact process improvement and automation initiatives, delivering best-practice, future-ready rostering capability across the Group.

You will achieve this by fostering a strong Team Partnership with the Rostering Team Leader, focusing your efforts on system architecture, policy development, and long-term strategy, while empowering the Team Leader to manage day-to-day operations and team coaching.

About You

We are looking for a strategic leader who has deep expertise in large-scale, multi-site workforce planning and digital rostering systems, ideally within the Aged Care or Health sector. You must have a proven track record in:

  • Leading rostering functions in a complex, multi-site/state environment.
  • End-to-end management and optimisation of rostering systems and architecture.
  • Hands-on expertise in rostering HRIS (Humanforce, TechOne, etc.) is essential.
  • Advanced data analysis and reporting for workforce planning (Power BI/Tableau skills a strong advantage).
  • Driving compliance and process improvement in line with Awards/EAs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate adaptability and resilience in a dynamic environment.

This opportunity will see you joining our General Surgery Ward providing diverse post-operative care to patients undergoing neurosurgical, vascular and breast surgery. This role is ideally suited to a nurse with experience in breast and neurosurgical care, offering the chance to broaden skills across a variety of surgical specialties.

We have two opportunities available:

  • Permanent part-time – 63 hours / fortnight
  • Permanent part-time night duty – 3 nights per week

 

What You’ll Be Doing

As part of our highly skilled neurosurgical team, you will:

  • Deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centred care in a post-operative surgical setting.
  • Monitor and assess patients throughout their recovery, responding to clinical changes.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to maintaining a supportive and inclusive team culture.

 

Skills and Experience

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • Acute medical and surgical nursing experience essential; neurosurgical experience highly regarded.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ post-graduate nursing experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both collaboratively within a team and autonomously when required.

 

Remuneration

A base hourly rate ranging from $41.89 - $54.01 + superannuation + applicable penalty rates. Based on experience level and qualifications (QLD Registered Nurse/Midwife Level 1.2-1.8)
