About the Role and Whiz Kidz
As our Centre Chef, you’ll create nutritious, comforting meals that support children’s wellbeing and help them thrive. Your kitchen will feel like the warm hub of a family home — full of delicious smells, real care, and a sense of pride.
This permanent full-time role is based at our brand-new Sydenham centre, a purpose-built, 80-place service designed to feel like a “home away from home.” You’ll work Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm, giving you consistent hours and a work-life balance rarely found in hospitality.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
Preparing wholesome, child-friendly meals for up to 80 children daily (morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and a late snack)
Designing rotating seasonal menus that follow nutritional guidelines and accommodate allergies, cultural needs, and dietary restrictions
Managing food orders, minimising waste, and working within budget
Maintaining a clean, organised, and inviting kitchen that complies with all food safety regulations
Keeping up-to-date records, including allergen and food safety documentation
Supporting special events, cultural celebrations, and parent engagement around food
What We’re Looking For:
Experience as a chef or cook — ideally in childcare, aged care, or similar community settings
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Strong organisation skills, reliability, and a love for running a tidy, efficient kitchen
A warm, caring approach to cooking — meals made with heart and purpose
Someone who enjoys being part of a team and contributing to a positive, home-like environment for children

At Cubby OOSH, we are looking for Qualified OOSH Educator / 2IC to come and join our Before and After School Care and Vacation Care services at below locations:
Cubby OOSH at King Street Public School
Whilst working directly with children, the educator role will involve participating in service operations, providing a high quality care service program, implementation of healthy active lifestyles and encouraging children to further their development needs and requirements.
Whilst working in the service you will be required to work a split shift between 6:30am - 9:00am and 2:00pm - 6:00pm. During our Vacation Care programs these times may also vary with service operations being 6:30am - 6:00pm.
Essential requirements of the role:
Working with Children's Check
Certificate III or Diploma in childcare or Education support
First Aid - HLTAID012 & CPR - HLTAID009
Experience with children of school age or children who have additional needs would be advantageous
Child Protection Qualification or Willingness to obtain
Knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety
