About the role

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the delivery driver role will be responsible for picking up and dropping off items, loading and unloading items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules.

This role is based in Garbutt QLD.

Main tasks/responsibilities

The list below is not exhaustive, and the duties/responsibilities may vary to meet the overall objectives of the company.

  • Loading, transporting, and delivering items to customers and/or businesses in a safe, timely manner.

  • Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure orders are complete and the customer is satisfied.

  • Ensure items are complete and packed correctly.

  • Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles

  • Perform frequent unloading, lifting and carrying of goods.

  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from customers.

  • Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.

  • Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries

  • Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. 

  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security.
