Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor CHPP plant and equipment to meet production targets
Conduct preventative and breakdown maintenance on mechanical systems (e.g., pumps, screens, conveyors, crushers)
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to fixed plant equipment
Perform inspections and report on plant condition
Support shutdowns and planned maintenance activities
Maintain compliance with site safety and environmental standards
Liaise with other team members to ensure smooth and continuous operation
Contribute to continuous improvement of plant performance and maintenance processes
Mechanical trade qualification (Fitter) or proven experience in a similar non-trade role
Previous experience in a CHPP, wash plant, or heavy industry environment
Strong understanding of fixed plant equipment and coal processing systems
Sound fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Commitment to safety and following site procedures
Ability to work as part of a high-performing team
Willingness to work DIDO or FIFO rosters depending on site allocation
Current Coal Board Medical and Standard 11
Forklift, EWP, and Working at Heights tickets
Experience in multiple CHPP setups

What you will be Doing
You will be working as a Multi-Skilled Operator within the Production Department on a coal mine near Moranbah. You will be required to operate Dump Trucks (CAT 793), Dozers (D10, D11), Graders (16M,18M, 24M), Excavators (6040, 9600, 5600) and/or Watercarts (CAT 777 or KOM 785). You will be working 12.5 hour shifts a Wednesday to Tuesday 7/7 rotating day and night shift roster. These roles are available DIDO and residential candidates only.
What you will need
Previous experience Dump Trucks (CAT 793 or similar), Loaders (WA1200), Dozers (D10), Graders (18M), Excavators (CAT 6060) and/or Watercarts (CAT 785) providing an SSE signed skills list.
You will need to have obtained a Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical or be willing to attain this.
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
Current Drivers Licence & right to work in Australia

Role Description
The position will be located at our Fixed Plant crushing and screening operations at Mining Area C in the Pilbara. The Electrician team is responsible for ensuring the safe and effective management of the electrical systems running the plant.
Role Requirements
Carry out all statutory inspections, checks, testing and recording as required
Carry out required maintenance as per the electrical maintenance schedule
Rectify all breakdowns safely and efficiently
Complete all installations and upgrades as directed by the Site Manager or delegate
Ensure all Electrical Installation complies with the relevant statutory requirements
Monitor spare parts on site and ensure stock is sufficient for the effective operation of the plant
Maintenance and fault finding of low voltage variable speed drives.
Maintenance of PLC systems, Citect, and Scada control systems.
All aspects of housekeeping such as cleaning out the Sub Stations, Electrical Cabinets and also including cleaning of Company buildings and vehicles where required.
Assisting maintenance workers with maintenance and servicing of Plant and Equipment during shutdowns and breakdowns.
Control and operation of the Crushing Plant, when required, including inspection & checking of Plant and Equipment and recording of Plant operating parameters and other relevant information as required on Log sheets.
Completion of any other tasks and activities, including but not limited to Mobile and Fixed Plant Operations, within your competency as directed by the Site Leadership Team
Essential experience & qualifications:
Minimum 12 months demonstrated previous experience performing maintenance duties within a Crushing Plant or similar Fixed Plant environment.
Minimum 2 years mining/heavy experience as an Electrician
Current Western Australian “A” Grade Electrical Licence
Current Manual C Class or above Drivers Licence (HR licence desirable)
HV Switching ticket
Skills Required:
Self-motivated, observant and diligent tradesperson, capable of working with minimal supervision.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to carry out work instructions and directives to provide satisfactory outcomes.
Ability to work within a team environment to achieve desired results.
Proven fault finding and problem solving skills.
Excellent safety awareness with good housekeeping habits.

Our client, based in Collie, is currently looking for Shotfirers, preferrably with Production Operator experience, to ensure their production outcomes are achieved in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
You will be working for HSS on a Permanent Fixed Term Contract through to June 30 2026.
Duties include:
checking blasing areas to ensure safety requirements being met
establishing exclusion zones in and around the blast area
connecting and testing / inspecting blast curcuit
fire charges
inspecting blasting area to ensure all explosives have detonated
adhere to company policies, procedures and applicable legislation
willingness to operate machinery where required (see below)
Qualifications/Experience
Minimum 2 years demonstrated open cut mine site experience in Drill & Blast crew
WA Shotfirers License essential
