Job description:

About the role
As the Traffic Control Officer, you'll support the safe and efficient movement of people and goods across Victoria's road network. This position provides professional, independent judgement in monitoring and operating the Department's advanced Traffic Management systems, including investigating traffic alarms and public reports.


Working as part of the Traffic Operations Centre, you will use real-time traffic control systems and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders, including emergency services, public transport operators, maintenance contractors, and the broader traffic management industry, to identify, triage, and coordinate effective responses to incidents and disruptions. These may include road crashes, infrastructure issues, or major network events.


This role also supports Victoria's Big Build projects, road maintenance, and emergency management operations in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You'll use state-of-the-art systems to make informed decisions that keep the network moving and the public informed.

NRAR’s Performance Analytics and Artificial Intelligence team is currently seeking to appoint a Performance Analyst to act as a vital link between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, engaging with operational staff who may have limited data expertise, facilitate clear communication, and collaborating with technical specialists to translate complex data into actionable insights that support informed decision-making.

While prior knowledge of NRAR’s operations is not essential, the Performance Analyst is expected to rapidly build an understanding of the organisation’s processes and data environment. Working closely with stakeholders, the role contributes to the development of output- and outcome-based KPIs, designs practical operational metrics, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. Strong data skills- particularly in Excel; combined with analytical thinking are essential to apply data effectively and enhance performance and operational outcomes across NRAR.

 

About You

You have demonstrated experience as a Performance analyst with strong skills in process mapping and data-driven analysis, including experience working with diverse stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable solutions. You have good data analytical skills to be able to formulate written reports for non-technical stakeholders.

You have good communication skills with the ability to build and maintain trustful relationships with diverse stakeholders, guiding non-technical operational staff to provide accurate and meaningful information despite varying levels of technical understanding and navigating sensitive topics with stakeholders while maintaining positive and cooperative working relationships to support effective decision making.

Customer Service Representative-Driver Tester (Service Centres)
Salary: Service NSW Grade 5 ($90,767 - $95,390 pro-rata, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading)
Location: Queanbeyan Service Centre
Employment Status: Full time (35 hours per week) - 12 month Temporary Contract
Contract terms may also be extended or converted to ongoing, subject to business needs


We are currently recruiting for the position of Customer Service Representative-Driver Tester at our Queanbeyan Service Centre.

Please note: this recruitment will be used to fill this specific role or create a talent pool for this specific location (including the immediate surrounding area).

About the opportunity:

If you are passionate about working in a customer centric team, delivering positive face to face customer service experiences and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this could be the right role for you. You will deliver exceptional customer service through provision of driver license tests and other Agency Customer Service delivery priorities in line with organisational and compliance requirements.

Key accountabilities:

*Provide timely, high quality customer service, which is consistent with Agency values and DNA, to deliver a positive customer experience.
*Conduct driving tests and advise applicants of the outcome, including relevant details of performance and deficiencies in accordance with established Agency standards.
*Establish effective customer relationships through quickly establishing rapport, understanding different customer needs, drivers and motivations and modifying approach to facilitate a positive customer experience.
*Identify and mitigate risks to ensure optimal road safety to customers and the broader community.
*Review quality control strategies and practices and exercise informed judgement in line with legislation, and Agency policies and procedures to ensure accurate application and defensible decisions.
*Provide a range of administrative and support services to meet business needs using relevant systems and reference materials.
*Contribute continuous improvement, including the identification of opportunities to improve the efficiency of work processes and the implementation of changes in the workplace that support organisational and government objectives and improve customer experience.

Additional job specific essential requirements for this role:

An unrestricted Australian driver licence for the preceding three years (excluding a provisional or learners' licence)
A satisfactory driving record. Your traffic record will be verified during the recruitment process.
Ability to proficiently drive a manual vehicle. You will be required to pass a 90 question Driver Knowledge Test and supply a manual vehicle to complete a Manual Practical Driving Test.
Due to the safety requirements of this role, an offer of ongoing employment is contingent on your ability to successfully complete the provided driver testing training.

Hours of work

Service Centre operating hours vary between locations. You can check the opening hours for each Service Centre Here.

The Service NSW Award hours are 6:30am - 7:30pm (Monday to Friday) and 7:30am - 3:30pm (Saturdays). In some situations, you may be required to work during these hours.

Flexibility is required to work on a rotating roster between the Service Centre's operational hours which may include Saturdays.

Salary

Service NSW Grade 5 - base salary for this role ranges between $90,767 - $95,390 pro-rata, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

About us:

Gladstone Hospital is a 70-bed hospital and offers a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services including emergency, general medicine and surgery, basic orthopaedic, clinical investigation, obstetrics, maternity, gynaecology, high dependency and coronary care, palliative care, medical imaging, pathology and paediatrics. Additional services include Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service, oral health, physiotherapy, dietetics, speech pathology and outreach/community-based facilities.

About the role:

The Staff Specialist will provide safe, high quality anaesthetic clinical services and assist in the provision of direction, service planning and clinical governance to the Anaesthetic Team, Pre-Admission Clinic and the High Dependency Unit. Oversight of unit staff including GP Anaesthetists will be a part of the role.

Provision of the full range of anaesthetic services including general and regional anaesthesia, obstetric services including epidural/spinal anaesthesia.

This position will also participate in the out of hours on call roster that covers the Gladstone Hospital.

About you:
  • MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
    • Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Anaesthesia with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). In general, this will require Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA).
  • If applicant does not hold FANZCA, then their application must be accompanied by the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists assessment of their specialist qualification and requirements to attain FANZCA.
    • Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CPD program of appropriate College.

  • A salary rate between $210,332 - $244,313 p.a. (L18-L24)
  • A salary rate between $251,527 - $266,677 p.a. (L25-L27)

You will have strong knowledge of project delivery and service management in complex IT environments, as well as proficiency in relevant programming languages for Azure, Salesforce, and Pega development.

This role also requires proven leadership in managing teams, budgets and stakeholder engagement.

You will be part of a collaborative, future-focused department that values innovation, integrity and outcomes that benefit the people and environment of NSW.
