Where you'll be working
CAC podiatrists provide foot care to our clients at our community health centres in Auburn, Blacktown, Castle Hill, Merrylands, Mount Druitt, and Parramatta. There is also a home visiting podiatry service that is provided to eligible clients that are housebound.
CAC Podiatrists are expected to work from various locations across WSLHD as reasonably required, including in the client's place of residence as well as in our Community Health Centres.

Chronic and Complex (CAC) Allied Health services focus on restoring, improving, or maintaining older people's independent functioning and wellbeing. The focus of these services is to assist older people to regain or maintain physical, functional, and cognitive abilities which support them to remain living in the community. This position works as a member of a Chronic and Complex multidisciplinary team.
CAC Podiatrists provide assessment, intervention/treatment, and education for clients with foot health issues residing within the Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD). CAC Podiatrists are responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of clients including, but not limited to, assessment of falls risk and pressure injury risk.
WSLHD is a leader in clinical services, research, and education, providing a diverse range of public healthcare to more than 946,000 residents in Sydney’s west and the Greater Western Sydney Region.

About the Role
We are seeking a Medical Practitioner to join our vibrant team in Gillman. At CHG you will be able to engage and build relationships with both injured workers and employers to achieve positive outcomes.
You will be involved in a broad variety of occupational medicine areas including acute injury management, pre-employment medicals, monitoring and statutory assessments. You will be able to facilitate client specific return to work requirements for those with mild to complex work related injuries, both physical and psychological.
Our Gillman practice operates Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm – allowing you to enjoy your personal time! We require a Medical Practitioner for at least five days per week at Gillman, but can offer flexibility for the right applicant.
Our Medical Practitioners are part of a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Physicians, Nurses, Audiologists, Allied Health professionals (physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers and exercise physiologists) and Medical Administration. CHG promotes health, wellbeing and preventative health care strategies in an attempt to educate all clientele visiting our clinics or attending our programs, our Medical Practitioners play a key role in this education process.

Provide guidance to the Allied Health Assistants to ensure best practice allied health programs are delivered to clients.
Provide education to clients and their families on the benefits of regular allied health programs for maintaining and improving health outcomes.
Deliver staff training on manual handling.
Remain up to date with the latest research and best practices in physiotherapy, incorporating evidence-based approaches into daily practice.
About You:

About the role

To be successful in this role you will have a Registered Nurse (with current AHPRA registration) Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent). The successful applicant will also have at least 5 years of vocational or lecturing experience relevant to this position with an ability to facilitate and encourage learning.
There is a minimum qualification required to deliver accredited vocational education and training (VET) as defined by the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 (Standards), or its successors. The current minimum qualification required is the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116 or TAE40110) or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011 or TAESS00019 or TAESS00024).
