Dear Earthworks Expert

This gig is tough, but satisfying (a bit like an overcooked steak when you're low on iron!)

Ever felt frustrated navigating the bureaucracy of a large firm, or found managing the internal politics as much work as the actual job?

You'll find the vibe of this place refreshing. They're a bunch of DO-ers, relentlessly focussed on getting things done.

Simple and straight forward, sure. But not easy.

David the Company is a recruitment agency on a mission: connecting our clients with terrific talent. We're tasked with finding a few Civil Supervisors with extensive earthworks experience.

The projects are West Australia based but it really doesn't matter where you live. As long as you can get yourself to a major airport they'll take care of your travel to and from, on a 2 weeks on 1 week off basis. Whilst on site, meals and accommodation are provided.

We're looking for key people who are keen to lead, manage and mentor a team to consistently deliver to a high standard. Fostering a cohesive and positive team culture is an important part of the gig.

The roles are pivotal to the company, and hopefully also for you.

We're looking for doers who prefer action over bureaucracy. You'll be joining a lean, dynamic team big enough to have huge projects, and large, high-profile clients, small enough it's still close up and personal. Which also means you'll have high visibility of your work.

You'll need:
  • Supervisory experience on large civil infrastructure or mining-related projects
  • Bulk and detailed earthworks expertise
  • Leadership aptitude: the capacity to lead and manage teams, subcontractors, and resources effectively
  • The ability to work with others, fostering a cohesive working environment
  • A commitment to safety and quality standards
Must-Have character traits:
  • Adaptability: Ability to learn and thrive in evolving settings
  • Ambition: Ready to grow with a company on an upward trajectory. (Think more launch pad than retirement lounge)
  • People Skills: Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
  • Resilience: Able to handle pressure and maintain company reputation

Piqued your interest?
Go ahead. Make my day and apply here
Need to know more?  Email "justdoit@davidthecompany.com" with "Request Callback & [Your Contact Number]" in the subject line. We'll lock in a time for a proper conversation. No interrogation, just a chat about whether this could be a good fit for both of us.
Speak Soon!
P.S. Yes, I'm a real person reading these applications. No AI screening here. Just me, cup of tea in hand, genuinely curious about your story.
