What your day looks like:

As the Remote (UAV) Pilot, you’ll play a key role in inspecting and maintaining our electrical network using advanced UAV technology. You’ll work alongside experienced pilots and technical teams, capturing critical data that helps prevent outages and improves safety. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Act as a Remote Pilot in Command of multi-rotor drones under Ausgrid’s Remote Aircraft Operator’s Certificate (ReOC) under VLOS / EVLOS / BVLOS flight rules.

• Develop flight plans for assigned work using established procedures and work instructions.

• Apply all drone safety & operational procedures in daily operations under guidance of the Chief Remote Pilot and Senior Remote Pilot(s).

• Act in strict compliance with CASA regulations, Ausgrid Remote Operator’s Operations Manual, Ausgrid’s Drone Authorisations Procedure, Ausgrid’s Electrical Safety Rules and other organisational policies.

• Lead and promote a strong underground safety culture

• Licence to conduct high risk work with dogging, rigging, crane and work platform classifications desirable.
