You’ll be joining a united, well-supported multi-disciplinary team working in the chronic injury space (Workers Comp and related schemes), providing evidence-based treatment to clients referred by insurers following work-related or motor vehicle accidents. The role balances assessment and short-term intervention, with an emphasis on therapeutic work, measurable clinical outcomes and functional recovery. You’ll see around six clients per day, supported by a modern telehealth platform, AI-driven systems and comprehensive admin support that looks after bookings and billings, so you can focus on your clients rather than paperwork.

You’ll work mostly online, with some in-person sessions, in a hybrid arrangement of roughly two days per week in the CBD office and the remainder from home. You’ll also have access to structured supervision, monthly leadership conversations, and clear development pathways in an organisation that values quality, collaboration and ongoing professional growth.

Your Duties will Include
  • Deliver high-quality psychological care to adults recovering from work-related and motor vehicle-related psychological injuries within chronic injury schemes.
  • Conduct clinical assessments, brief evidence-based therapy and treatment planning for around 6 clients per day, with reduced emphasis on lengthy report-writing.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team (including Exercise Physiologists and other mental health professionals) while enjoying autonomy over your clinical practice.
  • Work in a hybrid model, combining telehealth from home with approximately two days per week in a Sydney office/clinic.
Requirements/ Skills
  • Experience in private practice and/or compensable injury settings (Workers Comp, motor vehicle accidents or similar).
  • Experience working with chronic psychological injury and functional recovery is highly preferred, including familiarity with insurer and referrer stakeholders.
  • Full AHPRA registration as a Psychologist (General or Clinical), with SIRA registration or eligibility to obtain it prior to commencement.

About You

  • Current AHPRA registration as an Registered Nurse.

    • 3 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting OR
    • 3 years of triage experience OR
    • 3 years of experience in ICU, CCU, Rural or remote nursing.
  • Previous experience in triage with an emergency department, remote nursing is preferred.
  • You will be required to provide a Working with Children’s check and National Police check if not already obtained.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Ability to assess and recognise health deterioration and escalate appropriately.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Can work autonomously and delegate when appropriate.
  • A passion for patient-centered care and a personable approach.

About the role

Join NT Health's 2026 remote dental program delivering essential care across Central Australia and the Top End. As a locum Dentist, you'll work as a sole practitioner supported by a Dental Assistant, with a comprehensive paid orientation before travelling to multiple Aboriginal communities across 4-5-week blocks. Your part in our Buderim Hospital team  

As part of Day Surgery, you will accountable for the provision of safe and holistic care to individuals undergoing a range of procedures in our Day Procedure Unit, applying best clinical practice and ensuring a safe environment for optimal patient outcomes. You’ll deliver exceptional person-centred care by working collaboratively with your multidisciplinary Theatre team, applying exceptional communication and team work skills. 

What makes a difference for us? 

  • Minimum of 2 years surgical experience   

  • Diploma of nursing or equivalent and AHPRA registration

  • Available to work a rotating roster - Monday to Friday between the hours of 0600-2130 across varying shifts and occasional weekend work
