ForHealth is one of Australia’s largest and fastest-growing primary healthcare organisations. With 100+ medical centres, 1,500+ independent practitioners and over 8 million patient consultations every year, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality, accessible care to every community we serve.
As a national leader in Urgent Care Clinics, we pride ourselves on providing safe, timely and patient-centred care for those moments that are urgent — but not an emergency. Our teams benefit from progressive clinical models, strong operational support and a collaborative culture that continues to set the benchmark as we expand across Australia.
We are seeking an experienced, confident and forward-thinking Urgent Care Manager to lead one of our high-performing Urgent Care Clinics. This role is integral to the success of the service — bringing together clinical leadership, operational oversight, workforce coordination and an unwavering commitment to exceptional patient experience. You will act as the central point of leadership on site, ensuring the clinic runs safely, efficiently and in alignment with ForHealth’s quality, governance and service standards.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse or Paramedic who is ready to step into leadership, or for those already working in ANUM/Clinical Coordinator roles looking to take the next step. You will have scope to influence local service delivery, drive high-quality clinical practice and help shape the future of urgent care within ForHealth.
This is a full-time position, with protected non-clinical management time balanced alongside hands-on clinical leadership.
• Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure the centre is safe, efficient and patient-ready.
• Coordinate equipment, stock, consumables, facilities issues and site presentation.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, rosters and workforce planning for all site staff.
• Manage timesheets, shift approvals and coordinate payroll accuracy.
• Support training, competencies and ongoing development of the clinical team.
• Optimise patient flow, triage processes and clinical workflows.
• Ensure compliance with UCC standards, audits, quality and clinical governance.
• Manage incidents, risks, cold chain issues and escalate appropriately.
• Oversee business/practice management tasks including billing queries, suppliers, site expenses and reporting.
• Build strong relationships with local hospitals, PHNs, GPs and community partners to support service growth.
• Work in a patient-facing capacity.
• Registered Nurse or Paramedic with current AHPRA registration.
• Minimum 3 years of direct clinical experience in urgent care, ED, primary care, paramedicine or similar.
• Previous clinical leadership, management or supervisory experience desirable.
• Triage experience highly regarded.
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment desirable.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, delegate effectively and lead a multidisciplinary team.
• High level of clinical knowledge, critical thinking and attention to detail.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends where required.
• Willingness to obtain a Working With Children Check and National Police Check.
• Shape and drive your clinic performance.
• Be part of a fast-growing national healthcare service with strong internal mobility, leadership pathways and ongoing development.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team, support complex clinical operations and play a pivotal role in shaping urgent care delivery.
• Join a model that is rapidly expanding across Australia, with proven international success and strong government support.
• Competitive remuneration plus leadership responsibilities.
• No overnight shifts, stable hours and a supportive statewide leadership network.
• 20% off dental treatments for you and your family.
• Health insurance discounts.
• Fitness Passport access.
• 24/7 leading EAP.
• Free onsite parking.
• ForHealth branded uniforms.
• Comprehensive urgent care induction and ongoing training.
