About the role

  • The Inner-City Health Programme provides health services for vulnerable groups of people living in inner-city Sydney, aimed at improving the overall health and well-being of its target populations and ultimately, the broader inner-city community.
  • It is comprised of Drug Health Services (Alcohol & Drug and Clinical Pharmacology & Toxicology), Mental Health Services, and Homeless Health Services.
  • It provides specialist services for defined disorders, particularly those related to mental illness, addictions, and physical health conditions associated with adverse lifestyles and living circumstances.
  • As a Nurse Educator you will enhance the skills and knowledge of Nursing and other clinical staff working within Inner City Health services.
  • You will be responsible for education portfolios/programs within Inner City Health and education delivered is current and based on the best available evidence.

About you

  • Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency.
  • Relevant post-graduate education qualifications or relevant post- graduate clinical qualifications with a Cert IV in Training and Assessment (or working towards).
  • Demonstrated experience as a registered nurse in either homeless health, drug health or mental health.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and evaluate education programs, using knowledge of innovative educational strategies, tools and approaches including e-learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team and demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a nurse educator.

In this role, you will provide high-quality, person-centred midwifery care, supporting women throughout pregnancy, labour, birth, and the postnatal period within a collaborative MGP team. This model promotes continuity of care, allowing you to develop strong relationships with women by sharing a caseload and providing comprehensive support in a supportive team environment.

As part of the Northern MGP, you will deliver personalised, woman-centred care, working closely with midwives who share responsibilities and ensure consistent support. This approach empowers women to make informed choices, promotes safe, evidence-based care, and optimises outcomes for mothers and babies. You will work collaboratively with other health professionals to provide seamless care throughout the maternity journey, across both Gawler and Kapunda sites.

You will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of MRI service, maintaining and developing protocols and staff training. ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated MRI specialist with the ability to supervise a team.

Skills Required:

  • Demonstrated experience in MRI Radiography
  • Excellent communication skills, with proven experience in liaising with key stakeholders
  • Current licensing and registrations; this includes registration with AHPRA and current Victorian radiation license
  • Qualifications in Medical Imaging (Bachelor of Science or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated effective planning, organisational and analytical solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build effective relationships and communicate with a diverse range of people
  • Ability to work on flexible work schedules
  • Ability to work with trainees in MRI
  • Strong attention to detail
