AHS Technician – Autonomous Mining Technologies
Job Summary:
As an AHS Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) components and supporting technologies. This includes sitewide communications infrastructure such as Wi-Fi and LTE networks, GNSS systems, remote-control interfaces (e.g., remote dozing), and integration with onboard vehicle technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and commission AHS components on haul trucks, dozers, and ancillary equipment
Maintain and optimize mine Wi-Fi and LTE network infrastructure to support autonomous operations
Work with OEM systems such as CAT Minestar, Komatsu AHS, and other fleet automation tools
Diagnose and resolve faults related to network drops, equipment sync, and latency issues
Interface with control room personnel, OEM reps, and site engineers to support autonomous workflows
Assist with the deployment of RTK base stations and GPS correction networks
Ensure site documentation, configs, and change control are current
Ideal Background:
Experience with AHS systems or remote operation platforms
Understanding of industrial wireless technologies (Cisco, Rajant, LTE modems, point-to-point radios)
Strong electrical, auto-electrical, or instrumentation background
Comfortable working independently on remote mine sites
Knowledge of safety protocols around autonomous environments
IVMS & Vehicle Technology Installer (Fleet Telematics Technician)
Job Summary:
The IVMS (In-Vehicle Monitoring System) Installer is responsible for the field installation and servicing of vehicle telematics and safety systems across a fleet of light and heavy vehicles. You'll work on technology like GPS tracking, fatigue monitoring (e.g., Guardian by Seeing Machines), driver behavior analytics, and integrated camera systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Install IVMS hardware into vehicles (CAN integration, power, sensors)
Calibrate fatigue and distraction monitoring systems (Guardian, FleetLive, etc.)
Test system functionality and data transmission post-install
Provide user training to operators and supervisors
Maintain installation records and data integrity
Troubleshoot connectivity issues or unit faults on-site or remotely
Collaborate with telematics providers for firmware updates or system improvements
Ideal Background:
Auto electrical experience or trade qualification
Strong attention to detail with clean and compliant installations
Understanding of vehicle data protocols (CAN bus, OBD-II)
Ability to work independently across remote locations
Experience with Seeing Machines Guardian, GeoTab, or other fleet systems is highly regarded
General Mining Systems Technician
Job Summary:
The Mining Systems Technician provides support across a range of operational technology installations. You’ll work with various sensors, communications hardware, networks, and vehicle-mounted systems that support safety, productivity, and automation in both surface and underground mining environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and maintain fleet management systems (e.g., Front Runner, CAT Minestar, Wenco, Modular)
Setup comms infrastructure for mobile fleet—antennas, radios, cellular uplinks
Support telemetry systems for equipment condition monitoring
Assist engineers with data logging and diagnostics from sensors and PLCs
Work on integration of third-party systems—collision avoidance, tire pressure monitoring, fuel level sensors
Ensure documentation and system change logs are up to date
Ideal Background:
Trade qualified technician with electrical, comms, or IT systems experience
Flexible skill set and willingness to learn across multiple platforms
Problem-solving mindset and a can-do approach
Experience in the mining or heavy industry sector

What are we looking for?
We are seeking self-motivated Systems and Compliance Coordinator to join our winning team. Reporting to the Health, Safety and Training Manager, this role will see you assist with developing and implementation of safety strategy and systems to comply with legal and company requirements, working within a highly experienced HST team. The position is permanent full time, working a Monday to Friday roster. We offer an attractive remuneration package including performance-based bonuses. As a Systems and Compliance Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
Providing advice and support to managers & supervisors on the implementation of Health and Safety Systems, Procedures and Initiatives
Coordinating the development, delivery and participation in the site assurance processes
Developing and implementing Health and Safety Systems in compliance with legal and company requirements
Completing Health & Safety Reporting as per GCAA and Legislative requirements
Collate and utilise data analytics to identify trends, measure performance and inform decision-making to improve our safety management system
Ensuring compliance with safety standards and contributing to a culture of safety
Oversee and facilitate compliance of contractor management plans
Collaborating with team members to achieve Health, Safety and Training objectives
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A Tertiary qualification in Work, Health and Safety (essential)
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
Auditing qualification with demonstrated experience
Thorough understanding and ability to interpret NSW Work, Health and Safety Legislation
A high level of computer literacy and attention to detail
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities and workloads
Previous experience in mining or similar environments
You will have extensive knowledge of Safety Management Systems
You will have strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships
